Okay, I haven't been following the smaller ITF tournaments like I didn't notice Namigata's rise in the rankings. In fact I had never heard of her until her win against Yevgenia Savransky in Open qualies. She must have been one of the last players to make the cut, no? At 24 does she have the game to get inside the top 200?

She's solid...very good BH. She's definitely got the game for top 200...top 100 would be a challenge but she's taller than some of the other Japanese. She's got a definite shot at qualifying.
She's been runner-uping at tons of 25K tourneys in Asia. Thats how her ranking is good. And she's beat some good players in WTA qualies.
