I will try to update this thread, when new commitments are available:)

Bangkok is not official yet but I do hope Lucie plays as I am thinking of going to the tournament:)

I also hope that Lucie plays either Seoul or Guangzhou the week before Tokyo to do a 3 week Asian tour.
Then maybe play Linz & end the season in Hasselt again. That would be a lot of tennis but I hope it is what Lucie schedules.
I'm very happy she has decided to play the lower tiers in Asia:)

Updated with commitment to Seoul.

So I got my wish of 3 weeks in Asia. I think Lucie would have been better off playing in Guangzhou instead of Seoul as it is tier III and has a weaker field than Seoul which is tier IV.

where ? i don't find it.

i don't remember which page it was exactly, but it's the one where they did the preview of AI and there's a little box in the lower right corner that says injury withdrawals and she's on there.

I guess she is at home. Flu is not something you can mess with.

~|Naomi|~

I can believe that. I had a really bad flu 2 years ago and couldn't get out of bed for a week. Definitely wouldn't have had the energy to play tennis the week after. Hopefully she will be fit for Fed Cup and red clay. With Amelia Island off Lucie has virtually nothing to defend for the rest of the season  Let's begin the climb Lucie:bounce:

Ditto that. Last year I had the flu and didn't take any time off work so it progressed to pneumonia:eek::ras:

Flu can be very dangerous, there has been cases over over-exertion causing the virus to attack the body even more. Anyway, hope Lucie recovers soon & get back on the courts.... really want to see her in top 20 soon !!!

That is a tough schedule. Lucie doesn't normally play that many events in a row.
Perhaps making a big effort to finish top 20?

I am not 100% sure, I guess she will have some more treatment after fed cup and she will prepare for the hardcourt outdoor tournaments, that´s why she chose Doha and Dubai...

Maybe she thought she could pick up more points at a new tournament than trying to defend her points at Paris. What's the player field like at Paris compared to Dubai and Doha?:scratch: I don't really see any explanation besides maybe that.

I don't think so.

The Paris field this year is extraordinarily weak.

1. Chakvetadze
2. Bartoli
3. S. Williams
4. Dementieva
5. Petrova
6. Mauresmo
7. Szavay
8. A. Bondarenko

I don't know why she opted not to play. Perhaps she thought she would be tired from Fed Cup.

Hahaha... Sorry that my post showed up three times. My computer was freaking out on me when I tried to do it.

On a good day, Lucie could beat everyone at Paris. The most threatning player in the draw is Serena, and Lucie proved she could play against Serena on any given day.

What is Lucie's schedule?
So far I know that Lucie is playing Miami & Amelia Island.
Lucie was on the Charleston list but withdrew. Why? Is she going to play Estoril that week instead which would make a lot of sense but I haven't seen anything to say she is playing Estoril? So week off?

Also Lucie isn't playing Prague, I think she should, it is a low tier and at home.

Janine*OnTheTour
Mar 21st, 2008, 12:49 PM
Lucie wasn´t planned to play charleston.
Estoril she won´t play too. But Fed Cup in Israel...

I will talk to her about the schedule in Miami and then I will let you know

no she never planned Charleston and she told me she didn´t entered it.

She entered yesterday Estoril (as silver exempt) because she wants to play more matches.

~|Naomi|~
Apr 8th, 2008, 02:01 PM
Well maybe it has something to do with being a SE she was automatically entered?? I'm not sure how SE rules work exactly only GE rules but I presume they are similar? Because I guarantee that she was on the official list when it first came out and withdrew herself in March.
