My favorite golfer and one of my fave athletes overall, Lorena Ochoa is scheduled to play in the John Q Hammons Hotel Classic in Tulsa which is about 2 hours from where I go to school and I am truly relishing the opportunity to go. However, I hear rules are very strict at gold tournaments, no cameras, the quiet signs, restricted areas as far as where fans can be etc. So , I'd like to know if this is even an worthwhile experience to go or if I am just better watching on TV.
Also, I plan on taking some sort of thing to catch Lorena's eye. Maybe something with the name Guadalajara, the city where she and I are from. However, how flashy can i be at agolf tournament. These are usually at country clubs and I know how that atmosphere can be. So can anyone offer me advice, tips etc?

Well, how was it? What is it like? Did you have fun? Could you get close to the players?

I'd go just to see all the TV cameramen gawgling up at the sky trying to follow a tiny little golf ball while giving themselves a back injury.

Sally goes to the PGA Tour's Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines every year. Since you're going to an LPGA event you won't have much trouble with large galleries. It really is like the little leagues when it comes ot golf. The best thing for you to do to meet Lorena is to go early to the practice range on the days where they have the pro ams or if you see her at the range after a round. Most pros will sign autographs and things like that after they're done practicing. Don't do it before they're about to tee off going from the range to the 1st tee. You're not going to be able to take signs or anything like that to get her attention while she's on the course. Talking is ok as long as no one is taking a shot or putting. When you get there you can either follow your favorite player the whole round or sit at one hole and watch everyone come to you. When I first went to Torrey Pines I tried to follow God Tiger :o but doing so is difficult since he commands galleries with thousands of people. You can't see shit if you're in the back. But following Lorena shouldn't be hard.

I went several times due to business give-aways. I hated every second. I am just not into it. But I learned that others are. So nowadays I give away free tickets instead of selling them on ebay. And once in a while I get a tennis tourni ticket as a thank you. That's what I call a good business deal :D
