Actually next year the tournament will be in my hometown Toronto!

And I think I should at least wait until the Montreal tournament is done to start a Toronto 2007 thread. So I'll wait a week and a half to do it. :D

i hope this isnt a bad omen i read maria said after her match that against safina it depends whethter mentally and physically she can bring it she said its been a while since shes played 7 matches in a row, so presuming hopfully maria goes on to win in LA she might pull out of montreal! :( although if she does she wont win the us open series so we might see her go for the title! :)

When do you start university Jakim?

The week after Montreal ;)

And yeah, I was also thinking that she might not play here if she wins LA, but that's still 3 matches away, so a little to early to discuss that really.

Firstly she has to bring us the Los Angeles title. Anything less than a title would be dissappointing  :fiery:  ;)
It'd be great if she could win Montreal but Clijsters is also there  :scared:
anyway go Maria ;) :bigclap:

:( 3 tourneys in a row is kinda crazy.. she had to withdraw somewhere..

Maria should maybe have played just San Diego and Montreal and rested during LA...might have allowed for a better preparation for the USO.

I guess that's the last time Maria tries to play 3 tournaments in a row.....

I think she had no intention of going Montreal so this is no surprise to me.

Oh well..
I believe it's the best decision for her. Just gotta feel a little bit bad for the tournament organizers.
I also think it was smart to play the two tournaments close to each other, and if she feels like she can't play 100% there's no real reason to travel to Montreal. Now she can recover and start preparing for the Open. Interesting to see however, how she'll plan this part of her schedule next year. :) Three in a row seems to be a bit of a push.
