I hate to say it, but the minimum commitments per tournament is 12... do we break the rules and let it go ahead?

PS.: When I posted CAD 06, I meant Cohen-Aloro/Sfar def. BarroisRadwanska ;)

Btw, I'd feel really disrespected if you cancel the tournament after the players (ok, a couple of them, but...) had posted their picks. Because cancelling it right now doesn't even give us the chance of playing another tournament this week.
If you wanna cancel a tournament, it should be cancelled before it starts :o

If the guys who were commited to here wanted to play in L.A., I'm sorry, but that's their decision and it's not my business, so that I should not suffer the consequences of that without any kind of previous warning.

That's what I basically think about that and I do hope you guys won't cancel it.

If I had known this thread was made I would have said something earlier - before picks were made. You would have hoped a participant would have made an issue out of (or at least recognised) the fact that there are very few players (4) playing here in Stockholm.

For me, I don't think it's particularly fair to allow this event to go ahead (since tournaments with under 8-12 commitments have been cancelled in the past) and I'm only sorry that I didn't come across this thread sooner, but considering the current cirumstances - perhaps a restriction on the ranking points could be awared? I just think it's crazy that currently, a player can make one pick and earn at least 39 points. But ultimately, the decision is up to the organiser this week (KimC&MariaSNo1's).

ok we will continue this tournament because it is unfair on people who had chosen picks and cannot play in LA now but i think Chevina is right with the Ranking Points there should be a restriction and we will sort that out.

ok for the ranking points i think seeing as in a Tier IV there are points for 16 players we divide the first 4 for winner the second for for runner-up the 3rd 4 for 3rd place and the last 4 for last place so new points
1st: 62.75
2nd: 26
3rd: 12
4th: 3
