A wonderful match !!! Mary was great 6.1 6.2

All the crowd was with Mary on every shots, every missiles she launched.
Mary made the "Hola" with the crowd when she was serving for the match, during 5 minutes the SL Court was on fire.
Everybody stood up and screamed her name.

Something very rarely Mary encouraged herself in French "Allez, Allez".

She was happy, she was smiling, , she was shining.

She gave an ITW after the match, she said it's good to be at home with a huge smile.

She played so well - I am so proud of her!!

She looked great on court, so relaxed and enjoying herself

I loved it when she waved her hands as part of the Mexican wave!!

I really hope that they'll show Mary's match here in the states, but I doubt it.

It's really getting on my nerves, she's playing so great and I don't get to see it :(

M. PIERCE/S. Farina Elia 6-1, 6-2

Q. You came here just saying you're going to enjoy it, now you're in the quarters. Do you have something else in mind now?

MARY PIERCE: Well, it's incredible for me because in one way I'm not surprised because I'm confident in myself and my own game, but also the tournament is not finished yet. Of course, I'm in the quarters, but it's not over. For me, it's a bit unbelievable. I'm not at my best level. I had problems before coming in here. I was not physically fit. It's totally incredible. As soon as I came here, as soon as I stepped onto the courts, I felt something special, completely different. I'm pumped up when I'm here. I felt immediately that mentally and physically my game was all together and increased in level.

Q. I'll ask the question clearly. Do you believe you have the chance to win this tournament again?

MARY PIERCE: Yes, of course, I always believe I have chances. Of course, we never know what's going to happen. I hope to keep healthy. I'll take it day by day, match by match. I'm not going to go too far into the future for the time being. I'll remain relaxed.

Q. There was a moment at the beginning of the last game where the crowd was doing the wave. You just stood there and watched it all and took it in. What was going through your head as you were about to serve the last game?

MARY PIERCE: What's going through my head is they were having a good time, you know, they were enjoying themselves. It's cool, it's really fun to see that they're having a good time, you know.

Q. It doesn't distract you to take a moment out?

MARY PIERCE: No, for me it's fine. I enjoy it with them, as well, you know. Kind of take it all in stride.

Q. How do you feel physically? Are you feeling any pain at all?

MARY PIERCE: Huh-uh. No, I feel great. I feel great. I played two days in a row, two matches. I feel great. Really happy.

I hope that ESPN will show that match, I do not have much hope. As I am sure they do not like Mary. But if they do I am taking the day off work.
