Klara Zakopalova!!

According to wtatour new ranking ( July 31th) she is now Klara Zakopalova. Is it a mistake or she has been married?

Nothing wrong with Zakopalova  But Koukalova was better, yes. Still, she found herself a nice husband (at least he seems nice) and they are really in love. In Rosmalen Klara was not sure yet whether she would use her new name, but I guess she decided upon using it ;)

May the new name stimulate her to get some decent results again!

well in Serbian both her last names would be funny. Koukalova-means someone who whines, and Zakopalova-someone who is buried

A question: is it MANDATORY in her country to switch names when marrying a man???

If so, there goes another sexist country with stupid sexist rules... :retard:

Why don't men take their wives' names? :tape:

I think you all, even the American posters, see my point. ;)

SloKid
Jul 31st, 2006, 08:00 PM
It's not mandatory of course, but it's a custom more than anything.

And she got married at the start of June, but only changed her name now. ;)

WOW!

This is without a doubt the biggest news on the WTA tour this year! Hingis comeback? Pffff! Serena returns? Ha! Klara Zakopalova? HUGE!!!

I am liking the new nicknames, I think Zookie, Zakoopie, are great... might go with Zakopalookie myself... at least until something even more amazing pops into my head... as it undoubtedly will...

wheeeee.... all this excitement is making me need a lie down...
