Serena - Nasdaq? :shrug:Yes Serena has won it three times. She is also pretty impressive in YEC. She's won it twice and been in the finals twice as well.

martina hingis reached 6 consecutive australian open finals. no one else from this generation has dominated a grand slam tournament quite like the swiss miss.

......call me the worst Serena fan in the world, but didn't Serena only win the YEC once?

I thought it was twice, but she only won in 2001 didn't she? She didn't play in 2002 to my knowledge (but im probably way off) - in 2003 Kim beat her, Maria beat her in 2004, and I she didn't play last year. So, the only other time she could have won would be 2002, and I have NO idea who won it. Lindsay?

2002 was when Kim beat Serena,
Kim beat Amelie in 03, Maria beat Serena in 04, and 05 was Amelie's year.

Serena only one it once in 01, a walkover over Lindsay.

YEC:
2005-Mauresmo
2004-Sharapova
2003-Clijsters
2002-Clijsters
2001-S. Williams
2000-Hingis
1999-Davenport
1998-Hingis
so Serena has only won the YEC once, in 2001 when she was defaulted the final by Davenport (knee). She made the final in 02 losing to Kim 7-5, 6-3. Also made the final in 04. :)

can you do the stats on Justine's domination at the events you named, i.e. how many times to in order to support it. everyone knows she's dominated RG, but say more about the others.

Do retired players count? If so, no current player can ever hope to match Navratilova for her sheer domination of events.

Navratilova
Chicago: 12 titles
Eastbourne: 11 titles
Wimbledon: 9 titles
Dallas: 9 titles
Washington, DC: 9 titles
Virginia Slims/Avon Championships: 8 titles
Oakland: 6 titles
Houston: 6 titles
Filderstadt: 6 titles
