I need some help here. I had lost sleep over what transpired last few hours ago, and I need your views and opinions on this:-

I had been writing in my blogs that I like a girl. A friend of mine had been reading it, and was very curious to know who she is. The problem though was that the girl was actually my friend's own sister.....

Anyway, he went online on his MSN (strangely, this is the ONLY TIME I saw him doing so since a long time, as he told me that he can't online on MSN in his hostel) and kept asking me over and over again who the person was. I gave excuses, and tried to divert his attention, but to no avail. I "tested the water" by saying that I like her sis, but he said that it "doesn't fit the bill" and doesn't believe me because I mention in the blogs that she has a bf already, and that her sis doesn't have one.

Finally, after he had promised to me never to tell anyone, I told him the truth that I do like her sis.... but he wasn't surprised at all. He told me that her sis has many admirers... many of his friends had also liked her (and none of them were successful).

When I asked him that how many boyfriends she has, and whether she has one now (which I know she has), he suddenly tells me that it was a secret between him and his sis (despite what he said earlier). I told him that I know (and he should know since he reads my blogs). He said he does read them, before abruptly ending the conversation by saying that he has to take a shower.

What are your opinions about this? Please be serious and sincere with the answer...

this is the same person you were stalking earlier about the exams? It seems to me that the brother would have already added everything together and would have figured you liked his sister from the first time when you were trying to ask her out to dinner but ended up going out with him instead. Maybe he thinks it's a little weird that you want to date his sister. I don't think it's usually a good idea to date best friend's siblings anyhow. That makes for tension and awkwardness between you and your friend if the relationship goes sour. Then you end up losing them both.

Well... he wasn't really surprised about it... he said that his friends also showed interest in her... but he kept them away from her sis's knowledge...
