View Full Version : Paris Hilton Thinks She’s An Icon.

!<blocparty>!

Paris Hilton claims she is one of the hardest working socialites in the world.

"There's nobody in the world like me," she told the Times of London. "I think every decade has an iconic blonde” like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana ”and right now, I'm that icon."

http://nude-celebrities.horndog.com/nude-celebrities/paris-hilton-nude/images/paris-hilton-02.jpg

She added: "There's a lot of heiresses out there, and I don't see any of them doing what I've done."

On her successful image branding:

"I have so many projects ”bags, fragrances, make-up. I go round the world every three days, designing and personally approving it all. I've got movies to make, a tour, TV shows. Every day of my life is scheduled until the end of 2007."

On celebrity feuds between her and stars like Lindsay Lohan:

"All those stories are made up. You know how shy I am ... Well, non-confrontational," she said.

"Certain girls just use me to get media attention because a feud with Paris Hilton always gets press."

So did this latest "feud" happen or not?

Paris Hilton's feud with Lindsay Lohan has kicked off - again.

The hotel heiress arrived at a party thrown by jeweller Lia Sophia at the
Polaroid Beach House, Malibu, and was furious to see her arch-rival was also
there.

Lindsay was happily partying on Saturday (07.15.06) with new love Harry Morton until Paris - along with her sister Nicky and Brandon Davis - arrived
and reportedly began making nasty comments about the 'Mean Girls' actress.

A source told America's New York Post newspaper: "Paris was hanging out. She
made it a point to whisper and laugh very loudly the entire time, snickering
behind Lindsay's back."

Lindsay was reportedly so upset by Paris' obvious attempts to intimidate her
that she stormed out of the room and dragged Morton with her.

The source also added that Paris was walking past Lindsay a few hours later
when one of Morton's friends pretended to kick Paris in the butt.

This is not the first time the 'House of Wax' actress has been seen laughing
at Lindsay's expense.

A few months ago Paris cackled as Brandon Davis attacked the actress and
branded her a "firecrotch".

I think she's tremendously more popular than anyone of us would care to realize, and I think she has worked very hard to achieve what she has, but she's no Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana, she's a deludinoid as far as that goes.

She's becoming an icon in dance. She better leave my Lindsay alone though. I've been standing behind Paris for a while now but I will be right outside of the club waiting to tell her how much of a hypocrit she is if she doesn't stop. How in the hell is she just going to to laugh at Lindsay's snatch when hers is even worse. At least Lindsay's snatch isn't decaying the rest of her body from the inside out. Lindsay has earned her money and has been doing it since she was a tween. Paris has been leeching on daddy until he cut off her allowance and made her slut and sing for it.

My fav quote came frm her about her album when she said "It brillint, its cool, sexy and funky like me 10 times better than anything Madonna's doing" and then then the writer of the article said this was coming from the person who said that she dumped Nicole Ritchie as a friend because "the fame had gone to her head"

I believe that she's popular too. However, I also believe that if half the actresses gave us as many 'taco-shots' shots as she has, they'd be equally as popular. :haha: ....which is really a shame because she is actually [at times] quite gorgeous...albeit wholly clueless.

she is pretty hardworking... because she could be doing nothing with her life, but instead she wants something from her life, she wants a lot of fame, and she is definitely going for it. These kinds of things aren't being fed to her, she's definitely putting in a lot of work. She's not stupid, or else she couldn't be where she is.

As far as the fights with other celebrities are concerned, I think there are fights, but I don't think she aggressively spread rumors, she just does it passively. I think her friends spread rumors and be all nasty and paris just laughs and has a great time with it so she is also at fault because she isn't trying to stop them and she enjoys making fun of others.

however, i think it was a bit premature for her to compare herself to other blonde icons and say she is the icon of this decade.

Hey, I know you are sticking up for her and that's cool. But ...ahem... comparing herself to Princess Diana who's done tons of volunteer work with the poor; or even Marilyn Monroe who's achieved her success on the golden screen, is not a sign of someone clued in. What Paris is saying is that she is the new 'it' girl, which she may very well be. But she is certainly clueless if she is comparing herself to the above two icons.
Also, she has people who make these 'successful' decisions for her. All 'B-listers' do. That is why when she's out partying, people see the true person [the one who talks about other womens' koochie while hers has been downloaded by all us cyber-pervs. The people who'd normally think for her at home taking Valium after having to keep her on a leash all day.

She is the new 'it' girl. What other 'it' girl is as famous as Paris. Of course she has people to make decisions for her. But, you don't become that popular because of your decision makers/strategists alone, if you did, every rich person with bucket loads of money who wanted to be famous could and would be.

Princess Di - whatever. She married into the Royal family so basically HAD to do charity work for her whole life, go round cutting ribbons setting up 'Foundations' or whatever she did with tax payers money. If that makes you an icon then Paris has the right to call herself one. (in her own right)

Thing is though, Diana married into the Royal family and appeared to be an outcast from the very beginning, with her 'outreach' type organizations. It's almost as if the rest of the Royal family couldn't be bothered to help those in need. That's just this man's opinion though. ;) Still, Diana could have chosen volunteer work that was less far reaching and had less of an impact, but she didn't. I just find her very intriguing, and tortured, I suppose.

Whereas with Paris... well... many of the teen girls wanna be her because of the money, flash, and sex tapes. Not to say that there's anything wrong with it. ;)

Well, not really. I was only tiny when she died so didn't really know who she was and what she did. It's just... when she died everyone made SUCH a massive deal out of everything. People who didn't really take any notice of her before she died were suddenly seen throwing roses of bridges and lining the streets of London @ her funeral. The thing is... they DID take notice of her before she died even if some of it was subconscious. She was on the front page of every newspaper. She was in every magazine. Every single thing she did made one of the top stories on the News At Ten... she would go to the gym and be photographed and it would be reported on the news that "Diana was photographed leaving a gym in West London today..." She was a part of peoples lives and reading about her was almost daily routine for people in the UK. The classic line "you don't know what you've got til it's gone" is totally applicable to how people reacted when she died. She was a part of every day life and although people would roll their eyes at her from time to time and be like "I'm sick of Diana..." when she died so tragically and was no longer going to be around to entertain us and be a part of our daily lives then it wrenched people and put them into shock.

And of course lots of Royal's do charity work... it's their "duty" but once Diana was stripped of her HRH status she didn't have to do shit... but she did. Such as her campaign against landmines.

In fact, I'll go as far as to suggest that because of Diana's volunteer work, she heightened the popularity of the Royal Family in the US in particular. Before Diana, I kinda viewed the Royals as spoiled, rich, symbolic, bums...and yeah, with horse teeth. :haha: :yeah:

greater/better. That's what I meant. But hey, I'm sure if Paris had a baby with 50 Cent, or was anorexic, she would have more articles than Angie and Lindsay put together! ;)

Little girls, horny men, queens, queers, pop music lovers. She has something for everyone!

I don't know what the hell mused means, but I'll just go ;).

:DIf this happened, I can assure you that I'd be the first in line for the mag featuring the low down on that! :haha: Hell, I think every brutha in American would be in line behind me trying to figure that one out. :tape:

Fiddy and Paris...?

That would be some crazy shit. ;)

OK, yes, you're right. :ras:

But still, it's sad just how so many people obsess over these people. i.e. David and Victoria Beckham. Why can't people do such things for real talents like Mariah Carey, Megan Mullally and Lindsay Davenport?!

Comparing the Diana situation to the attention given to David and Victoria (Victoria especially) is almost as laughable as Paris comparing herself to Diana.

And yes, it would be much better if the whole world joined me in falling at the feet of somebody like um... Celine Dion.

Paris has done a lot more than people give her credit for - like it or not - she is one of the most intriguing people in the world.

She Is  i think she is a person representing self expression and freedom to act as your self. Celebs dont act like themselfs cause they have there careers to hold but paris does what she feel likes and i love it.
