I would think that Martina, Billie Jean and maybe Chris Evert have her beat. I can't really think of anyone else who played that long without a major injury that would challenge. I knoe she is the longest inside the top 100 without ever being ranked in the top 10  :p
Anyone care to verify my weeks of #935...i am not 100% sure that is correct :D

Well...it looks like her record will be interupted as of Nov. 3rd. Amy is taking the Fall off and will lose over 200 pts. This means that she will fall out of the first time since summer of 1988. I have to find out what the exdate date was that Amy first appeared in the top 100. Anyone care to help me out ?? :D :bounce:

End Of An Era: Aug. 21st 1988 - Nov. 5th 2006. Amy Frazier falls out of the Top 100
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As some of you know Amy Frazier has decided to take off the fall season like she has quite a few times in her career. As far as i know she is not retiring and will be playing in 2007. However...this will be the first time she has not accumulated enough points to stay inside the worlds top 100 . She has been inside the top 100 for 18 years 2 months and 2 weeks. That record comes to an end this Monday, November 6th when she will fall to #126 in the world. That will also be here year end ranking.

I know that she has never been the one people talked about..whether its for her game, ranking, her outfits or her looks. To me, she will always be little Amy Frazier...the 18 year old i met at the US OPEN in the late 80s when i was just begining to play She seemed so nice, so down to earth and so in love with the game. Anyways...i thought this deserved a thread of some sort. Hopefully Amy will be back in Australia next year ready to work her way up back up the ladder...somthing she hasn't done in nearly 20 years. ...

Well...it looks like Amy will play a limited schedule this year. She will most likely start out the year at Indian Wells and then Miami. So, i hope she can get back into the top 100 and soon add to her record amount of weeks :D :bounce:

AMYs WTA ranking will come to an end during the 2nd week of Aug. this summer . I am going to try and get a complete grand total of her weeks with a ranking of any kind aswell as weeks inside the top 100, inside the top 50 and lastly inside the top 20. IF anyone would like to help me out with this please let me know...:bounce: Thanks ...:wavey:

So 947 weeks in top 100 for Amy!

Lisa Raymond did pretty well, she cleared 800 weeks I think.
