'Amazing Race' moves to new night, time

By BETH HARRIS, Associated Press WriterSat Jul 15, 9:41 PM ET

An Indian-American husband and wife, a gay couple and two Muslim friends are among the 12 teams that will compete in "The Amazing Race" this fall.

The three-time Emmy-winning reality show is moving to Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on CBS. Its 10th season will start in Seattle, with the teams traveling westward for the first time and stopping in China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Kuwait and Madagascar, among other countries.

They will travel more than 40,000 miles in under 30 days in pursuit of the $1 million prize.

"This cast is as different as it's ever been," executive producer Bertram van Munster told the Television Critics Association's summer meeting. "It's meltdown city on this trip."

Van Munster said the language barrier made traveling difficult for the teams, along with 130-degree heat in Kuwait and filming in Communist countries. In Vietnam, the government insisted on viewing daily footage but didn't request any changes or cuts.

"The show worldwide is extremely popular and that has helped us," he said.

The teams announced Saturday are:

• Vipul Patel, 29, and Arti Patel, 26, of Windermere, Fla. They are the first Indian-Americans on the show.

• Brothers Erwin Cho, 32, and Godwin Cho, 29, of San Francisco.

• Tom Rock, 39, and Terry Cosentino, 45, a gay couple from New York City.

• Friends Kellie Patterson, 22, and Jamie Hill, 22, of Columbia, S.C.

• Friends Lyn Turk, 32, of Birmingham, Ala., and Karlyn Harris, 32, of Helena, Ala.

• Husband and wife David Conley, 32, and Mary Conley, 31, of Stone, Ky.

• Friends Bilal Abdul-Mani, 37, and Sa'eed Rudolph, 39, of Cleveland, who are Muslims.

• Friends Peter Harsch, 35, of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Sarah Reinertsen, 31, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif. Sarah has an artificial leg.

• Rob Diaz, 31, and Kimberly Chabolla, 28, of Los Angeles, who are dating.

• Friends Tyler Denk, 29, and James Branaman, 27, of Los Angeles, who are models.

• Friends Dustin Konzelman, 24, of Riverside, Calif., and Kandice Pelletier, 24, of New York City, both former Miss USA contestants.

• Father and daughter Duke Marcoccio, 52, and Lauren Marcoccio, 26, of Warwick, R.I.

The Bowling Moms! :worship: The furthest all-women team made that far (Final 4) in all seasons! :yeah:

I still waiting for all-women team win the million dollars!

Uh, it's more fair to have an early elimination (time is always important in TAR) than to let a team BACK in the race after a few legs of relaxing or some shit. If they do that, I'd be really, really surprised.

You can definately have degrees of fairness ... something can be slightly unfair while something else can be extremely unfair.

These guys being eliminated early is slightly unfair but mostly badluck.
If they came in again halfway through it would be exremely unfair.

I don't think we should put a percentage on fair or unfair this season.

The theme is to "EXPECT the UNEXPECTED" which means whatever the fans feel is some furked up shit is only FAIR game this season. So they can kick someone off early and they can bring them right back. It doesn't matter because EXPECT the UNEXPECTED.

I don't like the surprise shit. It's like cheating during the game to obtain a certain outcome. Play by the rules.

Oh yeah the rules are there are no rules!! ROTFLMAO.

This is the first time I don't like any of the teams so far:

Peter/sarah (handicap): I don't think I can handle Peter's constant motovational speeches.
Cheerleaders/Pagent Queens: I can't tell who is the pagent queen and who are the ra ra's until they start cheering
Moms: constantly bitch about the women w/ one leg which is total BS!

I'm mixed about the idea of having an elimination in the middle of a leg, but I would be surprised if that wasn't a pre-determined elimination point. After all, you have to get Phil and the camera crew there.

What was the point about saying the teams would be "released" from the Forbidden City at the time they selected? Were they put in mock-up prison cells or something for the night? That would be a bit of a twist.

(Having said that, I don't think the twists are going to be anything nearly as big as Phil was trying to make them out to be.)

I'm not surprised there were car problems. They were driving on not-so-good roads, and the design of the jeeps apparently dates from Soviet days (although the jeeps may have been manufactured much more recently), if I understood Phil's comments about them being used by the Soviet Army correctly.

I thought it ridiculous too that she was hoping around like a trained monkey and he had his hands out for money. Appalling on both their parts

That was unbelievably bad. Especially when he comments, they pay to go in the zoo.

CBS' "Amazing" Pickup

By Josh Grossberg Fri Sep 29, 8:54 PM ET

In a move destined to keep the thorny American Idol host from winning an Emmy in the near future, CBS has given the go-ahead to an 11th season of The Amazing Race, the network announced Friday.

The globetrotting reality series, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and hosted by Phil Keoghan, has delivered consistently solid ratings for CBS throughout its first 10 installments. Even more notably, Race has dominated the Emmy Awards, winning four consecutive Best Reality Competition prizes over Cowell and the Idol crew.

More than 10.1 million people tuned in to see the 90-minute special premiere of the latest jaunt when it aired Sept. 17.

Created by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri and launched in September 2001, Amazing Race follows paired teams on a Cannonball Run-like dash around the world, making their way from country to country on everything from jet planes and hot air balloons to bikes and camels.

Along the way, contestants must use their survival instincts and travel smarts to search for clues and compete in daunting challenges to claim the $1 million grand prize. Last May's finale saw 26-year-old B.J. Averell and 25-year-old Tyler MacNiven endure a trek spanning 59,000 miles before besting the final two other teams to claim the jackpot in Denver.

For the current 10th season, the network opted to move Race from its Tuesday 9 p.m. stronghold to Sundays at 8 p.m. The show has performed admirably as a lead-in to Cold Case and Without a Trace, boosting viewers in key categories. The current season is also available for free viewing at CBS' broadband channel, Innertube.

No word yet when production on Amazing Race 11 will get rolling, but CBS expects the next sprint to kick off in the spring.

Peter gets scarier by the episode. His eyes freaked me out when she was talking to him about his rant on giving up. (they were on the boat to see Phil) .... His expressions/mannerisms remind me of mad scientist type movies. He should let her do the food type detours and him do the physical ones. He gives me the creeps!

Rob and Kimberly really need to go and then seek help from a licensed professional!

Ryan:

Peter and Sarah, and the Beauty Pageant contestants were able to get the earlist transfer flight, and so ended up first and second. Rob and Kimberly, the Single Moms, and the Cho Brothers got the second flight, and ended up third through fifth. The heroin chic models and Kentucky did the wrong detour and ended up sixth and seventh, respectively.

The detour was a choice between moving a crocodile/alligator, and filling in a traditional Hindu pattern with rice-based pigment powder. The animal moving was the easier task -- which everybody should have seen since the other one was only 200 yards from the checkpoint, so they could actually choose after seeing one of the tasks. (A few of the teams did select the slow task first, and then switched.)

The Road Block involved taking an Indian driving test.

I like the new non-elimination rules. You don't have the gratuitously mean punishment of taking away all their possessions, but there is still a punishment -- if you don't finish first on the next leg, you'll get a 30-minute penalty. (I don't know if 30 minutes will be enough, but it's an idea I like.)

Current Progress Report (based on arrival):-

1) Peter and Sarah - Man, I pity for Sarah... having to survive constant hacking and "I Quit" notions from "Peter The Terrible". But getting first was downright amazing, considering the fact they are in the midst of self-destructing. Sarah, I hope you dump the sorry-ass of a boyfriend you have there and get someone who treats you better after the race...

2) The Barbies - Hey, they aren't as stupid as they seemed (remember the last leg when they have to listen for the next clue in Vietnam... crickets... :haha:). They should have won this leg if not for some really bad luck - tyre went flat going to the Detour...

3) Rob and Kimberly - After last week's farce on the Detour, they seemed to get back on track. Good for them... but will it last?

4) Cho Bros - Good job guys getting into the 4th spot. Can't stop laughing though about their T-Shirts... was that a picture of Phil on them?

5) Alabama - Dang. Still in this race? Do us a favour and get yourselves eliminated in the next leg. You annoy me... pretending to be the "good guys" when you definately are not (remember the 2nd leg?)

6) Tyler and James - Wrong Detour guys. Wrong Detour. But then, hope that you will all rebound in the next leg...

7) Kentucky - VERY, VERY BAD LUCK. Should have boarded the plane with the rest of the team in Delhi, but unlucky not to get one (thanks to the Alabamas  ). And Marked for Elimination... hmm, good luck then next week! :)

Amazing Race 10 Progress Report:-

1) David & Mary: HOLY SHIT!!! From last to 1st! Great job, guys! And the quote from Mary about Steven Seagal was sweet and cute! Haha... they're growing on me!

2) The Barbies - Great job of finishing second, albeit you should read and understand the instructions clearly next time... next week is going to be interesting (facing with the mothers and also getting into an accident).

3) Rob and Kimberly - How in the world you were 1st to finish the Detour, yet you got lost and ended up third? But then, it's still a great performance from them ;)

4) Alabama Team - Really getting on my nerves. If people are asking for help, DON'T BUTT IN AND SAID "YOU CAN'T HELP THEM"!!! I hope you get Marked For Elimination next week, or be eliminated next episode

5) Cho Bros - What nice guys they are... giving the Fast Forward to David and Mary and risking elimination from the race. Luckily they survived... they're such nice people (unlike "the pretending to be nice, but actually I am a vicious person" team... yes, you know who they are...)

6) Tyler and James - Guys, what happened man? Twice you both were at 6th place... need to pick up the pace!!! If not, both of you will be out next week! :(

7) Peter and Sarah - From 1st to last :tape: ..... and driving all over Kuwait city just to find the Detour (even managing to find the Fast Forward place!). Really, really poor navagation skills. Well, too bad you guys are eliminated... but Sarah, you did the right thing and dump that useless Peter... made you climb AGAIN, when he is way better physically than you are... good luck Sarah! :woohoo:

Secondly, I HATE THE FUCKING UGLY BEAUTY QUEENS/BARBIES :fiery: They need to run their own race and stop bogarting the other teams. Not only did they break line in front of the gay guys at the travel agency, but they jumped on Alabama's boat, cutting ahead of them and then they whine and cry because the Bama women are giving them a taste of their own medicine? Puhleeze!!! And, I wish that fucking blond scabby ass bitch would say the "sistahs" to the Bama's face or any black woman's face for that matter.

jeez, what hate. it's just a show for god's sake

and the bamas shoud be the last ones to lecture the BQs about running their own race when they themselves have been piggy-backing on the cho brothers the whole race

having an alliance doesnt mean relying on the cho brothers to perpetually wait for them and tell them where to go. if anything, it's more of a one-sided alliance since i havent seen the cho bros receive help from their ally teams

I don't understand why you are so uptight about the Cho brothers assisting who the want at anytime. I've seen various groups give assistance to each other all the time so what's your problem.

Remember the couple who won about two seasons ago, the gave money, clothes and even help with difficult challenge to the elderly couple in one episode. The irony is that at the end they inturn had to rely on the kindness of strangers to get money to pay for the taxi before they got to the finishing line. Don't worry about the brothers as their kindness will return to them in some form.

It appears that the Barbies are going to have to rely on someone's kindness next week so they better be careful of their bitchiness because things can come back to haunt you.:tape:

 Wow, I think you're one-sided. Was it the Bama's who were following the Cho's to the Camel race track or the other way around? Didn't the Cho's decide that they didn't want to follow the Bama's to the race track and decided to do the other task because they weren't sure the Bama's knew where they were going? Had they followed them, they would have come to the pitstop sooner. Also, did the Cho's lead the Bama's to the market place to get the clue? No. So, again what are you talking about?

Former 'The Amazing Race' winners whine about 'All-Stars' exclusion

By Steve Rogers, 10/24/2006

CBS might not yet be willing to confirm last week's report (http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/report-the-amazing-race-11-edition-feature-an-all-stars-cast-4380.php) that The Amazing Race's next edition will be an All-Stars edition, but there's one group of Race-affiliated folks who apparently don't have a problem announcing that the show will allegedly begin production soon -- disgruntled former The Amazing Race winners that weren't approached about participating in the competition.

"I don't want to sugarcoat this or anything, there is definitely going to be an The Amazing Race: All Stars, they will be starting within the next few days and Kim and I never got a phone call from anyone, not from [executive producers] Bertram [Van Munster], Elise [Doganieri], [Jerry] Bruckheimer, not from CBS, not from anyone." former The Amazing Race 5 co-winner (http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/the-amazing-race-5-runner-ups-colin-guinn-and-christie-woods-get-engaged-on-live-tv-2919.php) Chip McAllister (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/chip-mcallister/person-83) stated in a since-removed video that he and his wife Kim posted on their myspace.com website (http://www.myspace.com/amazingrace5chip) early Tuesday morning (the six-minute video, which included The Amazing Race's theme music playing softly in the background, was removed from the site less than twelve hours later.)

"We have run the gamut of emotions," Chip continued. "I hate to be one of these kind of people that thinks he's entitled he be an All-Star -- I may not actually, Kim and I may not be All-Stars material -- but to be completely forgotten by CBS and the CBS decisionmakers, who are definitely doing The Amazing Race: All-Stars -- it really doesn't feel good. We could have been contacted."

"It would have been good if the fans could have had their favorites or just something where there was a vote from fans to put on or petition for their favorite All-Stars... that would have probably been a fairer process, but they are going to be running it within the next week or two," Kim stated in the couple's video.

While they didn't resort to creating their own video interview to whine about not being selected for the All-Stars edition that's allegedly set to begin filming, The Amazing Race 9 winners (http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/hippies-bj-averell-and-tyler-macniven-win-the-amazing-race-9-4145.php) B.J. Averell and Tyler MacNiven also voiced their displeasure in another unexpected outlet -- a CBS.com "Former Racers Blog" (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race10/shows/ep06/fans/rotr/) in which B.J., Tyler, and seven of the long-running reality show's other former contestants are supposed to offer commentary on the show's currently airing The Amazing Race 10 edition.

"What would be ironic is if someone were putting together an all-star version of the race and contacted teams like [now married (http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/the-amazing-race-7-couple-lynn-warren-and-alex-ali-marry-in-canada-3534.php) former The Amazing Race 7 competitors] Lynn [Warren] (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/lynn-warren/person-328) & Alex [Ali] (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/alex-ali/person-329) and [fellow seventh season competitors] Brian (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/brian-smith/person-342) & Greg [Smith] (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/greg-smith/person-343), but did not contact us, the most popular and amazing team of all time, about it," Tyler wrote in a CBS.com blog entry posted early yesterday morning.

"Trust me, if they were doing that, they would contact us," B.J. subsequently posted in what was clearly a pre-orchestrated exchange (both blog entries were posted at exactly 4:44AM.) "We were the most well-liked team ever to compete on the Race, as shown by CBS's own website. I'm sure they wouldn't just pick a gimmicky team like [former The Amazing Race 7 and Survivor contestants] Rob [Mariano] (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/rob-mariano/person-4) & Amber [Brkich] (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/amber-brkich/person-2) or a 'competitive' team like [The Amazing Race 5 runner-ups] Colin [Guinn] & Christie [Woods], and turn their backs on friendly winning teams like us and Chip & Kim, leaving us to find out about it from some gossip site like tvgasm.com. We were the most winningest winners ever to win. I imagine they'd do something like they did with Big Brother, and let the fans vote on which teams they'd like to see compete. That would be the smart thing to do; better than casting fighting couples again."

As part of its report that The Amazing Race's next edition will be an All-Stars edition, last week's tvgasm.com report also stated that the website had confirmed that two The Amazing Race 5 teams -- (since married) "dating couple" Colin Guinn (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/colin-guinn/person-81) and Christie Woods (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/christie-woods/person-82) and "close cousins" Charla Faddoul (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/charla-faddoul/person-93) and Mirna Hindoyan (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/mirna-hindoyan/person-94) -- would be among the unknown number of teams that will be competing in The Amazing Race's upcoming All-Stars edition.

Whether the fact that B.J. mentioned Rob and Amber alongside the "previously confirmed" team of Colin and Christie in his CBS.com blog entry was intended to imply that the already three-time CBS reality show veterans -- who will also soon be starring in their own Newylweds-like Fox Reality channel reality series (http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/reality-tv-couple-rob-and-amber-mariano-land-their-own-reality-show-4239.php) -- will also be competing in The Amazing Race: All-Stars is unclear.

During their since-removed myspace.com video, Chip and Kim -- who claim to know the identities of "at least half" of the teams who will be racing but "won't break their confidence" by revealing them -- state that in addition to themselves and B.J. and Tyler, they have also confirmed that The Amazing Race 6 contestants Jonathan Baker (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/jonathan-baker/person-162) and Victoria Fuller (http://www.realitytvworld.com/realitytvdb/victoria-fuller/person-163) and The Amazing Race 1 winners Brennan Swain and Rob Frisbee will also not be among the teams competing in the show's All-Stars edition. "They do have some good teams racing -- the ones I know about -- they're good, are controversial, and it's really good," Chip added later in the video.

"The decisionmaking was based on the most competitive teams... that's what they wanted," Kim stated in the video segment in which she and Chip both freely acknowledge being bitter about not having been contacted. However Chip immediately dismissed Kim's statement. "They tell some people something, other people other things... CBS can call me in a second when it's time to post and do their blogs on their CBS site... but then with The Amazing Race: All-Stars... man, we should have at least gotten consideration."

"I feel like sour grapes, but hey, it's the way I feel and if me being honest is too much for you to handle then," Chip began before Kim interrupted him to state that despite their comments, they still "truly, truly love the show... it's just our favorite show and we would have liked a phone call."

But... just don't include the past winners...

they should just give past favorites who didn't make it to the top 3 a second chance...

Instead of AR All-Stars, I'd rather see Amazing Race All-Star Reality Show with contestants from other reality shows like Big Brother, Survivor and of course AR. I think that would be fun.

I don't know why but the alliance is starting to kind of annoy me, I am all for making friends having fun, but i like the race aspect in terms of watching it at least. Alabama is starting to grate on me now, Karlyn doesn't seem very friendly nor does she have any allegiance to the alliance. The Cho brothers and Mary and Dave seem to put it on the line over and over.

I'm glad the blondes came first. Tyler and James are beginning to annoy me. Rob and Kimberly were the only thing that made this episode interesting.

Woohoo... the Blondes got first! After that ruckus at the airport with Alabama, the swim to the ship, and a nudge on the bus... they still end up 1st! A very good decision during the Detour... to choose the Ship instead of Salt ^_^

Kinda amazing though David and Mary got last... AGAIN! Wanted the Alabamas to get in last, but they made a mistake while going to the pitstop and ended up in trouble... sigh, now they can't use the Fast Forward, so they really need luck next week...

Rob and Kimberly... Jesus Christ... the way Rob reacted when the car's gear won't budge is shameful. And then at the post office, throwing the clue through the window for Kimberly.... urgh, can't stand that attitude.

Alabama... got into a "catfight" with the Blondes, and the with the Models... :haha:. Gosh, they irritate me so much... hope they are gone next week...

By the way, I realised that there was no Roadblock in this leg... but apparently there is one! It's unaired for some reason though... check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazing_Race_10 (Leg 7).

And next week... a new twist... the Intersection! Wow... wonder what is it all about... :)

Yeah it was quite upstanding of the Barbies to deliberately try to jump the Bama, right? I mean what reason would anyone have for being angry...the barbies should be allowed to do whatever, right? Nothing irritating about that. Especially after running off at the mouth about alliances, blah blah blah.

Alabama is so annoying! They would've done the same thing for the Cho's or Kentucky... I just loved when Karlyn said: ''I can say what I want'' and one of the guy said: ''Then say something intelligent'' And when Dustin and Kandace passed them after the Detour and said : ''Hi 'Bama'' with a smile and they didn't even look!

I hope they go next.. I wouldn't mind Mary and David doing well cuz she cracks me up! And the Cho's are a bit hypocrite... There is only one reason why they would want to be in a alliance with the other two, which is to be in the final 3 with weak teams!

Oh I love how people have to use the 'they would've done the same thing' excuse to justify their favs behavior. No they wouldn't have done the same thing and there is no example of them doing the same thing. So that behavior is all on the Barbies and the druggies. It would've been one thing if the Barbies were in an alliance with the Models and had ordered their tickets as soon as they got to the counter, they're not it was just a needless attempt to take a dig at Bama.

Also, don't hate on the Chos just because your favs don't have the moral fiber to develop a true friendship in the midst of a competition.

Yeah, like two ex-drug addict male models would know what intelligence was if it jumped up and bit them in their skinny asses.

Anyway, I think it was a intelligent question to ask if it was the other way around would they think what happened was fair. And, disengenuous to say the least that they (male models) wouldn't be pissing and moaning about it.

I just think the barbies and the kens need to be careful about being so smug. Look at what happened to Peter and Sara. :tape:

I like half of the Bama team. I think it's Lynn, the one that doesn't fight with everyone.

:hearts: List:

ChoBrothers - Genuine people.
Kentucky - You gotta love Mary. She's so loveable and nice...a great reflection of the typical southern family. You can tell that they love each other a lot.
Lynn - Doesn't get in fights, and actually cares about the alliance.

 List:

Rob&Kimberly - Everywhere they go, they fight. Honestly, I dunno how they're still together.
DumbBlondes - Bama never did anything to them, and they go talking about how they never got along and stuff. Hmmm...maybe it's because you're too stuck up thinking you all that to make friends. Now there's a thought.
Karlyn - Home girl needs to watch what she says. I get the feeling she would screw over Kentucky or the ChoBrothers in a heartbeat.

 List:

Druggies - They're boring.

I'm glad that Kentucky got a third chance. Has any team finished last both non-elimination weeks before?

And yes the confrontation between the models/blondies vs. Bama was hilarious. Only because I cannot stand Alabama, for the same reason the players can't stand them, because they are rude. If they weren't so confrontational from the get-go, they wouldn't have these sort of problems.

I'm personally routing for the blondies and Kentucky, simply because they are the only teams with any sort of sense of humour.

no one Kentucky came in last but it was a non-elimination round. At the end they should female Kentucky arm and arm with Bama and they they showed a group hug with every one and it looked like one of the Cho brothers shed a tear cause he was happy they didn't get eliminated. It was so sweet. :hearts:

yeah, that was really sweet at the end. although I think Kentucky need to focus more on not coming in last sometimes. Cho, and Bammas were ready to run to finish line.

OTOH, the blondies, are annoying. I used to like them because they were competitive, they're being complete bitches about it.
and i find it funny how "annoyed" people are by the Bammas because they aren't "nice" enough. Neither are the blondies! but they don't seem to bothered by that.

How am I doing exactly what you did?

You have to come up with more than 'what you think' someone would do. The facts are they haven't done that and you don't know for a fact that they would've done that. All you have is a hope that they would've done that so you can feel better about your favs. :tape:

and please tell us when did Bamma say they would cross the six-pack to win? I remember one girl saying they would run to the mat but they were all fighting for last place of course they were suppose to run...how is that crossing anybody? Unless you know of some agreement where Bama said they would let Kentucky finish before them you're quite frankly talking out your ass.

Just because your scope and vision is limited doesn't mean the Cho brother's are? You may join big brother, Survivor or Amazing Race without making friends doesn't mean that's the case for others. There are plenty examples of people who have made friends on these shows. Besides Survivor, and Big Brother is nothing like Amazing Race. There is some deception to Amazing Race but in general it's about fair play and doing the best you can to make it to the end...unlike the other two.

And what Amazing Race have you been watching where there are NO RULES? Certainly not the one we are discussing because there are plenty of rules.

Nobody is saying that you can't like the barbies but nobody's stupid enough to believe that you dislike a team for doing the same exact things the team you like has done and actually less. There's nothing wrong with being competitive but then don't act all indignant when others are just as competitive as you.

The Barbies are so self-absorbed that they left the airport talking about how "oh well I guess we lost friends..well we were never friends to begin with' like Bama wanted to be their friend or that Bama could care less if the Barbies likes them or not.

and finally <long winded I know :o > I'll let the fact that Kentucky and the Cho brothers continue to be very close friends with Bama and not close at all to the others as a testament to Bama and other's charater. :tape:

I don't know why? but one of the Beauty queens always reminds me of Sharapova.

They're bitch factor is highly amusing - but they've been pretty good, and like the Cho's the key is to never waste or blame the other for mistakes.

What is it with models and reading maps when driving? :p

I suspect that the "real" bond between the Cho's, Kentucky and Bama is religion. I bet they're totally Bible reading Christians, and may have seperated themselves from the others a bit.

The Six Pack Alliance, in my opinion, might not be there anymore after next week's race. This is because:-

1) David and Mary are now under "Mark For Elimination", and have no Fast Forward to take anymore. They will need all the help they can get from the Alliance to get 1st again, or else they will be in deep shit (30 mins is a LONG TIME TO WAIT when there is only 6 teams left in the race).

2) If there is a Fast Forward in the next leg of the race, the other 2 teams in the Alliance (Cho Bros and Alabama) will have a tough choice - TO TAKE IT OR NOT? Take it, go in first and risk the Alliance to fall apart. Don't take it, risk of falling behind, and might end up eliminated (I'm 90% sure the next leg is an elimination).

3) The other 3 teams (I call them the "Unholy Alliance") also know that David and Mary will have to be 1st to avoid a penalty. So, they might (I say MIGHT) co-operate with each other to prevent them from getting 1st. If the teams are following each other closely in the next leg, and David and Mary does not go in 1st, the Unholy Alliance will DEFINATELY BE SAFE unless one team decides to get lost while on the way to the Pitstop.

It's definately going to be interesting next week... :)

I don't really think the Six Pack Alliance will hold on any longer after next week's race. This is because of the following factors:-
1) David and Mary are now under "Mark For Elimination", and have no Fast Forward to take anymore. The Cho Bros had helped the Kentuckys once with the Fast Forward,

I think there is one more fast forward on the race. And this time, I bet a lot of teams will be going for it...

Totally forgot about the second FF still available in the next legs of the race.

The locations have been really great in TAR 10. I'm so glad they started out in Asia and went to the Middle East. It's so much more interesting when the language barrier becomes an issue in the early episodes, we can really learn more about the teams in those situations.

I don't get it? I've been watching TAR 10 with friends, and no one has said anything about the Bamas' being rude or grumpy.

The argument in line at the airport was more about how the model boys, and beauty queens were rather in their face, and condscending IMHO. The other two teams acted very priviledged , and smug.

The Indian guy behind the counter didn't want to know about it because - well he probably thought they were all pushy loud Americans anyway and respected none of the 3 teams.

Hun, this a show to win a million dollars, giving up first place and they basicly said they would rather save another team of their six pack than win, it's retarded. Their goal was for their friendship to carry them to final three. Finishing first in any leg other than the last one means absolutely nothing toward getting the Million dollars.

I too am bugged by the Chos, I mean come on, have some fighting spirit! I really love Dustin and Candice because they are so bubbly and cute on the surface but are stone-cold bitches underneath  I love it.

And Rob and Kim are going all the way, I love Kimberly, she should pack up and leave Rob and head my way ;)

It was a pretty sad departure for Kentucky though, they are really great people and it is nice to see good people on the show, however the Chos are TOO nice, and if its all an act, then that makes them annoying too.

but that's what you just said you love about the Dustin and Candice?

Why is it alright for them to phoney but not the Cho Brothers?

When they said "You're asian we should have done paper" The Cho's should have said "Well you're blonde and trashy so we should do well with mattresses"

Their goal was for their friendship to carry them to final three. Finishing first in any leg other than the last one means absolutely nothing toward getting the Million dollars.

They seemed to be racing to me. Just because someone isn't racing the way you think they should be doesn't mean they aren't racing.
Besides, I truly feel that some teams are there just to travel around the world on (mostly) someone else's dime. Nice gig if you can get it. ;)

Okay, because the girls give off the impression they are cute and bubbly, just personality wise, but everyone KNOWS that they are really hard workers/fighters and will do anything to win.
However the Cho's act like they are all in it for the friendship, the good times, and if they win so be it. They even tell the camera that they think the idea that they are just keeping the weak teams in is false, so if they lie right to the camera, that bugs me.

However, it is also a prejudice thing (im not going to lie), I find the girls attractive and fun to watch, the cho's are boring. :tape:
