It will be in Cala Ratjada when a lot of German tourists will be there and make some noise ;)

I think that Rittner and Muller have a big chance with both Spanish singles players, either Torrens, Sanchez, Martinez, Marrero, Serna or Montolio all don´t have that big record for this year :)

The doubles are lost though !:o

Nothing against the Spain team but I want Germany to win.

Tweety, I think the FedCup week is the 2nd week after Wimbledon with one week of Belgium/Palermo as preparation events as most matches are on European clay.

The same for you, I really want Israel to beat EEUU, so doesn't matter, I guess

Go Germany!

My dream:

singles: Barbara Rittner and Martina Müller
double: Barbara Rittner/Bianka Lamade or Barbara Rittner/ Marlene Weingärtner

i hope Bianka can play double for Germany
i think Rittner/Lamade would be a good double!

I doubt that Lamade in her current form is the best choice.

I think that Lamade should be thrown out of the team actually.

For further reasons :

* Muller is set for singles
* Rittner is set for doubles
* Weingartner won her doubles against Farina/Schett today at Wimbledon
* Arn and Barna BOTH are better in singles

I doubt Rittner is in a good form in singles which is rather sad after such a good start on clay and then the injury ; I think Arn would be great if she can keep the form she showed at some Grand Slams in the last 2 years.

I think Germany should put in singles: Barbara Rittner and Marlene Weingartner

After Wimbledon, it might be that either one of them plays : Arantxa ´cause she trained on clay and needs matches, Conchita ´cause she played well but lost again early.

I doubt Germany´s chances get better WITHOUT them. I think they would be better WITH them due to their lack of confidence.

I think that Muller has more problems being the favourite against Ruano, and Ruano is one of the cleverest. Serna is a competition player and makes people forget her laziness on the tour by playing great team matches so I doubt that we better our chances with hoping that Arantxa/Conchita do NOT play !?

It's sure that Conchita doesn't play (I've read an interview of her, and she says she won't play) and seeing that Arantxa has stopped for a while, I would be surprised if she played.

And I think that without Arantxa and Conchita, Spain will lose two great players, but this doesn't mean that the chances of Spain are low, because Spain has other good players that can do well if they play at their best.

The fact is that German players climbed the rankings whereas the Spanish players fell down

Torrens will fall soon not being able to defend her points when it´s FedCup week, Montolio fell down immensly same as Conchita, Magui and Arantxa

I think that Spain only has a chance nominating the classic hands of Ruano. Serna should be easy for an in-form Muller. I think that Virgina Ruano is one of the more underestimated players though being a top doubles player.

Well Jon now we know -- Arantxa will play (hooray!)-- btw, what do you mean when you say you were "invited" -- I hope it means something "la-dee-da!"

So I now ask you, as I ask all persons who attend events Arantxa plays in, would you be willing to take her some messages in Mallorca? I know it only last two days, but....

LMK and thanks!
