Croatia has the most of it and is a popular tourist retreat.

Also with sea coast, but with far less: Slovenia and Montenegro.
And I also think Bosnia has some sort of access...they have one town on the coast.

If the former gets its independance than the latter will also want to get it too or at least merge with Serbia. Kosovo if it gets its independance should merge with Albania. Like that the poll will still remain unchanged since Albania was never part of Yugoslavia.

The major defenders of a unity you cling to based on a battle you LOST in 1389 (like Slobo and Arkan) are dead, in exile (Mira Markovic) or in Carla del Ponte's custody. The creators of RS (like Karadzic and Mladic) are hiding from the Hague tribunal. :scared: Maybe we'll send Richard Holbrooke back to administer the whole place as an American protectorate. :hehehe:

Not quite true. The Serb Prime Minister is a stauch supporter of Serb unity and is against Kosovo becoming independant. Also the nationalist Radical party is the msot popular part in Serbia. Our Serb frend here has a point. If Kosovo becomes independant than the samething should happen with Serpska Republic which also has its own autonomy. The Europeans should play fair like that they won't be viewed as anti Serbs.

My parents went to Yugoslavia on holiday several times when they were first married. Then it was the most horrendous war and all the 'countries' split up. Then, despite having all been at war they all voted for each other in the Eurovision Song Contest for the last few years, which just goes to show, you can murder thy neighbour, but not vote against them in a Eurotrash competition! Personally, I don't know why they don't just get back together again and become Yugoslavia, after all they'll all be part of the EU soon.

One of my best friends went to Dubrovnik for a week in June and said it was the cleanest and loveliest city she had ever seen - she said (and she could have been lying) that they polish the streets. And that the sea was the most beautiful turquoise she had ever seen. She loved it. Still doesn't make me forget the Eurovision voting though!

Kosovo will never merge with Albania, no one supports such an action in the west. America is heavily opposed to it; so that option is off the table. And I was not going to say this but since you mentioned Radical Party in your other post please note that the radical party is basically a freak show, all of its members would have a great careers if they went to get jobs in disneyland, and they probably get their votes by showing people their wonderful mickey mouse tricks.

Never much cared for Yugoslovia

I'm going to make a huge generalization, but to a large extent it's true.
That's the problem with American and Canadians.
Two things;
First, most wouldn't be able to locate Yugoslavia on a continent.
Second, most don't know it doesn't exist anymore! :tape:

Despite all the news coverage, and everything that happened there, when I say I'm from Bosnia, they say 'WHAT'S THAT'. And it's not 20 year olds only, but adults as well! They think I mispronounced it,
and really meant BRAZIL. :p :o

Geography, history, what do they teach in high school anymore??
Not a lot, as I went through the system myself. Luckily, I went early on through the German school system, which made me aware that I needed to study besides school, because really, you spend from 9 until 3:20 sitting around in a Canadian high-school and phantasizing and hearing students complain how much work they have, when really they don't. Needless to say, when they step into university, they have to be taught the most simple things. I am doing my exchange for a year in Germany, and in couple of weeks it's over. But what fun time. It is what a university really should be like, and I am getting challenged and learning plenty, and outside of university when you get together with a group of people we discuss history and politics, etc,... and not why we are going to wear tomorrow and what cars are the shit, or who scored with who.
I would stay here if I could. At the same time Canada has by far more options than Europe for jobs and a better living, only if the majority of people were not so superficial.

Anyway, it's off topic, but wanted to make a point that North Americans live in their little happy capitalistic bubbles, (which will eventually, needless to say, will implode and blow up, and they 'Never much cared for Yugoslovia',

Well the West does not support Kosovo independance either. Even Switzerland which has the highest concentration of kosovar regugees does not. Only the foregn mister does and she is a socialist. If Kosovo becomes independant then it can if it wishes join Albania. When Romania joins the EU, Moldova which is dominated by ethnic Romanians may wish to join Romaina since alone they have no chance getting into the EU. I predict that for that situation, Modlova which currently is the poorest nation in Europe will eventually decide to merge with Romania.

It's not BS. Most of the countries will want to join the EU - come back in a few years. I can see no point in Yuogslavia having split up. It cost the lives of thousands, saw some of the most horrendous war crimes ever, and acts of such unspeakable horror between human beings. Families massacred, rape camps, children raped and murdered and maimed for life. Family members murdering one another. I could go on.

Secondly, my friend who went to Dubrovnik was told that no one would give her advice on visitng Montenegro for the day. Yet in the Eurovision contest they all voted for each other. As I said, murder thy neighbour.....

No, being in EU is not the same as being under Yugoslavia(or Serboslavia shall I say) after 1980. You think people wanted all those nasty things to happen? No. You think the republics seperated just for kicks and that there was no reason behind it? I could explain all the circumstances to you but it will take 10 posts and I don't have that kind of time. About eurovision its because they have the same language thus the votes anyone could figure that out. Ukraine and Russia-- & greece and cyprus vote for each other that does not mean that they want their countries to join in a union. :retard:
