Here's what she says!

"Breath Me"-Sia (Track 1): "My friend just told me about this song and I fell in love with it! She has this raw voice that is remarkable and the lyrics are amazing."

"Over My Head(Cable Car)-The Fray (Track 2): "I just bought this song and all the songs are pretty amazing but there's something about this one that stands out. The words are all everyone can relate to."

"The Blowers Daughter"-Damien Rice (Track 3): "O is one of my favorite albums and this song is one of these sad love songs that you can listen to even when everything is ok with your love life. Hope that makes sense! If not, don't mind me, haha!

"Headlock"-Imogen Heap (Track 4): "I heard this song somewhere and now have been listening to the whole CD for the past month in my car. The sounds are a bit dramatic and give the song a cool tune."

"Worn Down"-Rachael Yamagata (Track 5): "I can listen to her songs all day long and how amazing is her voice! I have so much respect for her talent."

"Cool"-Gwen Stefani (Track 6): "I was a fan of No Doubt since I was a little kid and I love what she has done by herself. She's courageous and is not afraid to take chances with her music. This song's videos is one of my favorites ever."

"Gold Digger (featuring Jamie Foxx"-Kanye West (Track 7): "I don't care how many times this song plays on the radio...I still love it! Such a fun song and a great beat."

"Where the Streets Have No Name"-U2 (Track 8): "I have never been to one of their concerts but someone downloaded this from a live concert for me and it's probably one of my favorite U2 songs. It's a very inspirational song that makes you feel better even when you're down."

"Volcano"-Damien Rice (Track 9): "This is probably my second favorite Damien Rice song. I always listen to this when I'm on the plane and have nothing to do but think."

"Promiscuous"-Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland (Track 10): "This is my new "It Song" of the moment. I always feel like getting up and dancing when this song comes on. She has had some amazing songs on her previous albums, but this one has a bit of a different vibe."

"Goodbye My Lover"-James Blunt (Track 11): "Gotta love this song! I mean it's simply amazing."

"Let Go"-Frou Frou (Track 12): "I cannot get enough of Imogen's voice. It's a work of art by itself...add the words and it just takes you through emotional roller coasters."

Why U2 Maria, WHY????
If it was "Vertigo" or "Elevation", I could handle it, but not "Where the Streets Have No Name".
WHY??? :o

Some of it is a bit obscure...!
I haven't heard of a lot of those artists before, like Sia etc!
Maybe she just picks up random stuff from wherever she travels!

I used to like her, but now I don't. It seems like she whines now instead of singing - though her song Happy Ending is quite tolerable.

Rachael Yamagata's Worn Me Down was my favourite song last year. it really is one of the very best emotional and vocal pieces i've ever heard in my life. i'm actually pretty stunned that her eclectic taste is somewhat like mine. i have Imogen Heap's collection in my iTunes although i prefer the song Hide And Seek. Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter" is CRAZZZZZY sad it's extremely good. i have ALL of Nelly Furtado's works and her latest album is really really the dance album of the year. Cool's my favourite Gwen Stefani songs with the wonderfully written lyrics and i swear that intro will always stick in my heard. Goodbye My Lover is one of James Blunt's better songs, great lyricist but weak singer in my opinion :) still leaves me in an emotional wreck. Kanye and U2 are so-so for me i guess. Frou Frou was the band Imogen Heap used to be in before she did her own solo stuff.

go Maria extremely extremely marvelous music tastes!

I think this "Celebrity Playlist" is a great idea. Although my own musical tastes are closer to Kirilenko's - and when I'm not listening to classical I listen mostly to heavy metal :rocker2:, I'm a huge music fan overall and getting to know what Maria likes and why is really cool. I'm not familiar with most of the names in her list, but being curious I'm going to check them out just to hear what they sound like :)

Haha. :worship:

And as for little Masha, I didn't know she loved classical. The Kirilenko's orchestra makes a whole lot of sense now. I just read that she loves some of the same composers as me. :)
