We are looking for ways to secure our new laptop at my job and I'm trying to look for different ideas. We've already had one desktop stolen so we want to be careful with the laptop because it is super dooper nice. :hearts:

We've had a few of ours stolen as well - now they're all on cable locks attached to the desks, and haven't had a problem since (if you get cables that glue to the furniture, try to attach them somewhere that's hard to get to).

They're not fool-proof (espeically if some fool forgets to attach them), but most people stealing laptops seem to want to grab and run.

My partner's company (a high-tech firm) has people put their laptops in locked drawers or cabinets in their desks.

Yes we must use cable locks at day (entire time working), and lock in cabinet or take home at night.

ok, my boss isn't going to like that. :( I was thinking a docking station that can be bolted down to a desk and a cable???

Yes the cable lock during the day. Such as the Kensington (top row, second item) which I use. But it has to be put away (out of sight) and locked up at night. No way around it.
