Why don't you add also Sky hate thread....naturally I Know you can't watch as it is an italian tv, but it's broadcasting Wimbly in a wonderful way, showing 4 courts in 4 different channels....would you like to know which matches they're showing right now??
Center Court and Court 1 (that's naturally ok)....and................Dulko-Laine and Arvidsoon-Birnerova, instead of Hingis match and Hantu-Camerin (an italian playing)........bleah

I really like Chris Fowler. :worship:. I don't think the Hingis match even started before 1pm, because of the stupid Wimbledon peeps taking so long to get out the net posts.

Ugh. Why can't we watch Venus vs. Davenport or Venus vs. Maria? Last years men final was so bad.

I love Chris Fowler.

If you need someone to complain about, try Patrick, Mary C., Mary Joe, BRAD GILBERT...

Is Cliffy back? I love him. :hearts:

Actually I think he's kinda' cute...but a little dumb ;) ..

OMFG though! I can't believe they are showing the men's final from last year...anything with Roddick in it right! Why not show a set of a match from TODAY! Dweebs...

I am watching hingis match now and it is pretty boring. Federer vs Gasquet was so much better. More quality, longer points, everything was better.

Why are they showing last year's mens final?

Isn't the world tired of seeing Federer outclass Roddick by miles? I'd love to see the Venus v Sharapova semifinal.

ESPN is shite. :fiery:

The last game of the set was great, there were I think 9 deuces before MArtina closed it out...ESPN isn't showing it though, at least not in Boulder>P

that would be pretty random... it's the first day of the tournament, a lot of matches haven't even finished their 1st set, and they were interrupted from federer's match, so they're showing his final win last year. it makes sense to me.

Chris Fowler is actually much more knowledgable about tennis than you'd expect. I really like him.

I think they are showing last year's final to save the "gems" from last year's tournament for later on.

I like that ESPN is killing any interest in tennis in the US.

Whoever thought that showing Roddick, Agassi or Williams winning 6-1, 6-1,
and just fawning over the American, well,... congratulations! :bounce:

You destroyed tennis popularity in the US.
Take a bow!

What's happening on ESPN2 right now?
According to TSN's coverage here in Canada, it's showing Boxing...

Does anyone know when it will go back to tennis?

Chris is a favorite of mine as well.

People should be thankful that ESPN covers Wimby at all. It's a lot better than no coverage.

ESPN is going to switch from Blake-danish guy and soderling-henman, and then roger after this is done! Very good coverage indeed! Even after the first day of showing just men's tennis. Wow!

All 64 men's first-round matches are scheduled today, so the Law of Averages favors the men. It's Ladies' Day tomorrow.

Yes yes, after Agassi, then Nadal and then Roddick. Guess what? No more coverage after all these stupid men's matches.

We're watching Agassi-Pashanski on tape delay while thirteenth seeded Groenefeld is in trouble against Pironkova, who they should know by now, since she beat an American and all.

ESPN just recapped the women's matches today
1. Henin-Hardenne
2. Clijsters
3. Hingis
didn't even show points
mentions went to Kuznetsova,Jackson,Vaidisova
now we get to rewatch Agassi def Pashanski

Yesterday (June 27), out of 8+ hours of Wimbledon coverage, ESPN showed less than 10 minutes of actual women's tennis - in other words, less than 2%: some bits & pieces of the Hingis vs Savchuk match, and that was it. They didn't show anything from the Clijsters vs Zvonareva match except the handshake  and completely ignored Groenefeld vs Pironkova, Kirilenko vs Asagoe, Hantuchova vs Camerin, etc. At some point, Chris Fowler dismissed the whole thing, stating that it had been "a quiet day on the women's side" and then moving on.

No matter how you look at it, this is hardly a fair and balanced coverage of the tournament. I'm all the more grateful to the good folks from abroad who take the time & effort to upload women's matches to the Internet. :hatoff:

ESPN has killed tennis in the US.
It now has about 20 other sports that are more popular.

Football fans, baseball fans, etc., would not even sample the FO final,
which was a hugely important match historically.

They have knocked down the # of US tennis fans to a small diehard group.

And even they hate ESPN's coverage
