Yes, Wimbledon is here, and the UK newspapers have woken up to tennis! Some really great interviews with Venus in the Mail On Sunday and Observer - probably more in other papers. And a nice photo shoot of Maria in the MOS. If I can find the links I'll try and post them.

Venus comes across really well in her interviews, and she talked about Serena - definitely coming back, 'trust and believe' she said. Plus the shooting of her sister. Venus is really hungry for a 4th title.

Maria also came across very positively. And the article explained that her mother is painfully shy and doesn't like leaving the house which is why she doesn't travel. Maria said that she is like her mother (who was a ballerina) and she skirted questions on her dad.

Anyway, nice to see tennis (especially women's tennis) getting some profile here in the UK.

Interesting that her mother was a ballerina and doesn't like to come out of the house. I'm not a Maria fan but think that's pretty sad.
