Probably a bunch of jealous Graf fans grinding their axes :p.

I'm glad to see that even if Justine surpasses Gaby's career titles number that she'll still have to catch up on other fronts .

Aren't moderators supposed to be fair and not rooting for some players and bashing others?

Amy is an absolute sweetheart and is certainly not mediocre. I suppose there are glowing descriptions of the mediocre Murray and Henman.

Umm you're right about Murray but Henman?? That guy reached 4 Wimbledon semifinals and 1 French Open.

How many GS semifinals does Frazier have: 0

if there was a british girl as "mediocre" as amy, they'd be promoting her so HARDCORE. the british press is laughable.

Jun 26th, 2006, 04:02 AM
If you add the wins of ALL the British women over the past 10 years, it's probably less than Amy Frazier's. So if Amy is 'mediocre', what does that make them?

Well, I guess it's safe to say that the comment on Amy Frazier should be taken as nothing more than a grain of salt.

i feel like coming from america, if you've never been the top dog or a regular in the top 10, other countries won't respect you as much even if you've achieved about a thousand times as much as all the british girls combined.

Jun 26th, 2006, 02:17 PM
Just because she's not at the level of success of the more well known Americans of recent times (WS, Davenport, Capriati), it certainly doesn't make Amy "mediocre"!

borisy
Jun 26th, 2006, 02:58 PM
If you play tennis for 15 years and reach only one Slam QF then that means you're mediocre as a player. Whether you're American, British, French, Indian etc.

So what does that make 90% of the people who've played professional Women's tennis who've neither made a slam QF or had the longetevity of Frazier?

FrazierFan
Jun 26th, 2006, 07:08 PM
If you do your research Amy has reached more than one GS Quarterfinal. By the way, she holds 8 singles titles as well. There are plenty of players that deserve to be in the category, but Amy is not one of them...

Whether your American, British, French or Indian or Asian , Russian or from freeakin MARS..Amy frazier has qualified for EVERY grand slam singles event since 1988...thats 18 years ( and 491 wins while not playing 25 tournaments a year like most players ) of top tour level tennis. NOBODY has done that on either the mens or the womens side. I am really not going to get into an argument with a hatefull moron like Borisy. Go pick up a racket girl and talk with that on the court like Amy Frazier has done for nearly 20 years... :wavey: buh bye :bigwave:

someone who's nearing double digits in titles and has qualified for every major for 18 years is FAR from mediocre.

Amy isn't like...the greatest champion ever, but anyone who plays at Wimbledon is far from mediocre considering there are millions of tennis players around the world, and only 128 women play at Wimbledon.

I wasn't the one who wrote "mediocre" on that site. Go and send your thoughts to the writer...

Yes I think she's a mediocre player but because she dedicated her years to tennis I wouldn't write that openly somewhere and break her heart.
