Mauresmo did not fair well at the FO and now faces the Big W grassy court challange. Just 6 months ago she said something like she was dominating women's tennis but she hasn't really done anything since that point. Anyone think she will do well at this years Big W?

With her draw, living up to her #1 seeding (being a finalist), will be extremely difficult. We'll see.

Was she dominating?...Hmm

She played a lot of the tournaments and has been quite consistent, yes...but dominating, not at all.

there was one point when she won AO, paris, antwerp and was in the finals of doha. that was an amazing period

Six months ago she was winning YEC, Oz, Paris and Antwerp so she was dominating.

Still, a lot has happened since then but hopefully Amelie can produce at this tournament again :worship:.

She has a really awful draw - the worst of anyone but us momosapians will keep the belief and she can't look too far ahead in the draw which might help her stay focused.

she'll at least get to the quarterfinals were she will play venus or myskina.she can easily do good here, the surface suits her serve and volley game.i would like her to use the slice more,i think it would help her tremendously.

I read something very interesting in one of her interview: she said she thought that maybe her best chances of winning Wimbledon were in the past, last year and in 2004.

It sounded as though she's not expecting much this year, which in the case of Momo is... very good news!!! ;)

In short, if she plays like she doesn't care, she can beat anyone. Even the last woman left on the lower part of the draw, that Sunday.

I saw that article in her forum but I was thinking she didn't meant it to sound that way. Or maybe she is just writing herself off to ease the pressure.
She also had a go at the French crowds over their booing.

I don't think she will since Venus is in her quarter, but regardless, I will be rooting for Momo as always. I hope that'll help. ;)

She has Krajicek in her 2nd round. :/
Safina in the 4R.
Venus in the quarters.

Who knows if she'll even make it to Venus in the quarters.
