Sort of. Federer-Gasquet is the first match on Centre Court Monday, and Williams-Mattek is the first match on Centre Court Tuesday, per Wimbledon tradition. If either or both defending champions had been unable to play this year, the honor would have gone to the highest seeds, Rafael Nadal and Amelie Mauresmo.
