View Full Version : Legendary Hollywood writer/producer Aaron Spelling suffers stroke

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Hollywood writer/producer Aaron Spelling, who has helped create some of America's most popular and beloved television shows, suffered a stroke in his home over the weekend and is recovering, his publicist said.

Spelling, whose credits include "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Starsky and Hutch" and "Charlie's Angels," suffered a stroke on Sunday in his Los Angeles home.

"He is now at home resting with his wife under a doctor's care," Kevin Sasaki, Spelling's publicist, told AFP.

The producer was never taken to the hospital and has been convalescing in his home for three days, according to Sasaki.

Spelling, 83, underwent radiation therapy for a throat lesion in 2001.

In January, Spelling was sued by his former nurse for sexual harassment and wrongful termination. He, in turn, filed a suit for defamation, which the judge dismissed.

Spelling is one of the most prolific figures in Hollywood, whose other credits include "The Love Boat," "Melrose Place," "Satan's School for Girls" and "

They just said on Entertainment Tonight that he has takin a turn for the worst :sad: This guy is a legend...you can type in his name at IMDB.COM and see all of the shows that he has produced..its amazing the list of shows thats comes up :eek:
I hope that somehow he can make a recovery :)
