My answer is yes, she should.
Should Dokic retire?DevilishAttitude Jun 20th, 2006, 03:19 PM Vote! :) My answer is yes, she should. tennisbuddy12 Jun 20th, 2006, 03:20 PM no...but she wont be top 10 next year....she still has some improvment to do. St.Sebastian Jun 20th, 2006, 03:20 PM No, she is still young and probably can get it all together one more time. She just needs a proper slap in her face - like losing to Alex :p Andrew.. Jun 20th, 2006, 03:22 PM no...but she wont be top 10 next year....she still has some improvment to do. Please, she won't even be near the top 100. Freakan Jun 20th, 2006, 03:25 PM She has to work hard and play more matches. Aaron. Jun 20th, 2006, 03:26 PM Maybe.. VeeDaQueen Jun 20th, 2006, 03:29 PM YES, she has been a hopeless waste of time for 3 years and I am tired of her delusional fans talking all their nonsense about how she is doing so well. please, cut the bullshit. I'm tired of it. Lennval Jun 20th, 2006, 03:30 PM dokic no retire!!! LUXXXAS Jun 20th, 2006, 03:30 PM what a poll :haha: sfselesfan Jun 20th, 2006, 03:33 PM Any player who loses to Stevenson should retire. SF JackFrost Jun 20th, 2006, 03:33 PM YES, she has been a hopeless waste of time for 3 years and I am tired of her delusional fans talking all their nonsense about how she is doing so well. please, cut the bullshit. I'm tired of it. Maybe it helps, if you don´t read this "bull-shit". ;) And, hey, if even Alex Stevenson hadn´t called it quit and wins a Match in Wimbledon, there is always hope for Jelena to do one nice day no less. :) :bounce: ezekiel Jun 20th, 2006, 03:34 PM if she were to retire from tennis as she should it would stop all the stalkers of hers from boring us to death but I guess they'd move on to someone else :tape: Libertango Jun 20th, 2006, 03:35 PM What actually happened to Dokic to make it all start going wrong? One minute she was number 4, I blinked, and then she was gone. Has she put weight on? Injured? Or just rubbish? Someone enlighten me please. :) St.Sebastian Jun 20th, 2006, 03:35 PM YES, she has been a hopeless waste of time for 3 years and I am tired of her delusional fans talking all their nonsense about how she is doing so well. please, cut the bullshit. I'm tired of it. And that's coming from a Williams fan  magassi Jun 20th, 2006, 03:35 PM No... she's still quite talented. vwfan Jun 20th, 2006, 03:35 PM as long as she wants to play, she should play. VeeDaQueen Jun 20th, 2006, 03:36 PM if she were to retire from tennis as she should it would stop all the stalkers of hers from boring us to death but I guess they'd move on to someone else :tape: i know, the thing that turns me off about her is her DELUSIONAL OBSESSED FANS! they seriously think that she is constantly improving, but she is shit! JackFrost Jun 20th, 2006, 03:37 PM What actually happened to Dokic to make it all start going wrong? One minute she was number 4, I blinked, and then she was gone. Has she put weight on? Injured? Or just rubbish? Someone enlighten me please. :) Lost to Bovina at the US Open and gets into a deeeeep slump after that. ;) sfselesfan Jun 20th, 2006, 03:37 PM And that's coming from a Williams fan  When Jelena comes back and wins an Aussie Open or Wimbledon you can make a statement like that with a straight face. SF VeeDaQueen Jun 20th, 2006, 03:38 PM And that's coming from a Williams fan  yep. please, we know serena is not high in the rankings because of injury, jelena is not high in the rankings because she is shit :wavey: Elenarulez Jun 20th, 2006, 03:38 PM Any player who loses to Stevenson should retire. SF So Hantuchova, Dementieva and Capriati should also retire :wavey: Libertango Jun 20th, 2006, 03:38 PM Lost to Bovina at the US Open and gets into a deeeeep slump after that. ;) LOL, so her career has completely fallen apart thanks to one loss to a good player?! (I saw that match, Bovina was excellent.) Wannabeknowitall Jun 20th, 2006, 03:40 PM Jelena shouldn't retire. She's silly if she thinks all she needs to get back to the top is to play. She needs to be a step faster than she was in 2002. Look at Hantuchova. She was a top ten player but I doubt she'll ever get back there. She's worked hard though to get even in the top twenty. If Dokic does everything in her power to get better she could be a top thirty player again. She's going to have to play doubles, she's going to have to get fitter, she's going to have to work on her defense, she's going to have to work on her strategies in a match, and she's going to have to strip down. She needs to stop the drama. It's not helping her in the least. Craigy Jun 20th, 2006, 03:40 PM No way. Who knows, maybe she can fight through this major slump   Alberto Jun 20th, 2006, 03:41 PM no, but she wonñt be top 10 next year... ezekiel Jun 20th, 2006, 03:42 PM i know, the thing that turns me off about her is her DELUSIONAL OBSESSED FANS! they seriously think that she is constantly improving, but she is shit! I tend to think that most of her stalkers are into self torture and humiliation, sort of delusional folks that think they know everythin. The real scary part comes when they move to someone else but hold the old grudges  JackFrost Jun 20th, 2006, 03:42 PM LOL, so her career has completely fallen apart thanks to one loss to a good player?! (I saw that match, Bovina was excellent.) Well, the one or other problem with her family has affected her confidence also. ;) ezekiel Jun 20th, 2006, 03:46 PM Well, the one or other problem with her family has affected her confidence also. ;) You mean she is the only one with family problems? In tennis you actually have to work smart and hard and for one she has never shown that, just looking to be handed stuff. She is just learning life lessons the hard way and wasting her life completelly being misguided IceHock Jun 20th, 2006, 03:49 PM yep. please, we know serena is not high in the rankings because of injury, jelena is not high in the rankings because she is shit :wavey: actually it's because her father screwed her up,he took her away from australia, got her some really weird coaches.he was really mean,so it's not because she's SHIT,it's because she had some major personal problems,so for you to say that she's not high in the rankings becuase she's shit is complete bullshit. tenn_ace Jun 20th, 2006, 03:49 PM This is what WILL happen: Dokic will dissapear for couple of months again and tomorrow we will be reading her crazy dad's crap in one of the Serbian newspapers... JackFrost Jun 20th, 2006, 04:00 PM You mean she is the only one with family problems? No. But every human handles this problem on his own way. Some makes it stronger, other got destroyed. In tennis you actually have to work smart and hard and for one she has never shown that, just looking to be handed stuff. She is just learning life lessons the hard way and wasting her life completelly being misguided I can´t deny it. But that was already the case, since she came to the tour. The question here was, why she slumped so suddenly after the Bovina match. Why she started to go down just at that point of her carriere. cindy Jun 20th, 2006, 04:01 PM NOOOOOO she can still come back she is trying too and that's the more important thing! chin up jeca! some here still believe in you! Il Primo! Jun 20th, 2006, 04:03 PM A big yes..it's hopeless. Waste of time cellophane Jun 20th, 2006, 04:22 PM :rolls: You clearly want people to say she should retire! bailey Jun 20th, 2006, 04:26 PM I don't know but at least she is trying! It's always so easy to say that someone should retire; but, what should she actually do? She still has a long life ahead of her and is she good in anything then playing tennis? tennisboi Jun 20th, 2006, 04:36 PM Jelena needs to keep working and she needs to get fitter pcrtennis Jun 20th, 2006, 04:53 PM You're options are stupid. She's not over, people are always quick to count players out and then are often proven wrong. It will take time but she is young and she'll be back as long as she's willing to put in the effort. auntie janie Jun 20th, 2006, 04:54 PM  at the 2 choices! How can anyone be taking this poll seriously? :haha: furrykitten Jun 20th, 2006, 04:57 PM This poll sucks  Jelena should not retire and she will be back! VeeDaQueen Jun 20th, 2006, 05:04 PM there goes the delusional fans again  SHE'S NOT COMING BACK! get over it. muniu Jun 20th, 2006, 05:04 PM yep. please, we know serena is not high in the rankings because of injury, jelena is not high in the rankings because she is shit :wavey: injury                                             CrossCourt~Rally Jun 20th, 2006, 05:06 PM Please, she won't even be near the top 100. The same with Alex...her shoulder can't last week after week let alone match after match. :wavey: borisy Jun 20th, 2006, 05:08 PM Well if Schultz-McCartney manages to return and win a few matches in a WTA main draw, then these girls should be able to do that too if they aren't totally spent. le bon vivant Jun 20th, 2006, 05:13 PM No, she should keep her eyes on the prize. | |
