Hey guys :wavey:

I'm a college student in Philadelphia PA and was looking for someone to play with/ within the area. I've been looking thru@ a couple of sites that are around and the best one seems to be http://www.tennisfinder.com/. Any other's better than this?

I'm actually in the middle of filling out my profile at www.tennisfinder.com, but I'm a bit unsure what to put for playing level. I consider myself to be a pretty good player. In highschool I was Varsity, so I can play, but I'm no pro. I obviously can hit all the basic shots (f-hand, b-hand, serve, but I also can slice, dropshot, and lob). I can hit w/ decent power, but I'm inconsistant. So basically I know I'm not a beginner= 1.0, but also def not 7.0= touring pro. I think I'm 4.0=intermediate/advanced or 4.5= intermediate/advanced. But I'm not sure. I just don't wanna get set up with someone who's gunna kick my ass, or visa versa

Those who play USTA tennis should be able to help me with this one, cuz u guys play tournies seperated by level. right? If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it :)

Yeah I just filled it out and yeah................. so I have the option of playing w/ someone 30, 40, or 50 year olds... not gunna happen. This is sad

There has to be a better site out there somewhere. I mean I can't be the only 20 year old who wants to find someone good to play with in Philadelphia. I mean I could call up, people from my high school but that might be weird.

Lol...well there's actually a huge difference between 3.5 and 4.5 ;)

But I know how difficult it is to find a comparable partner...and i've tried those sites as well. I played college tennis for two years, and most of the players I played with don't play anymore or are out of the area now. My only option is to go to the tennis courts on the weekends to find someone to play with, but typically those players are in their 40's and up and are there at like 6am . My other option is to join a country club, and I don't really want to do that.

Oh ... Yeah it really does suck. I'm sorta lucky though cuz my sister also plays (she's a 4.0-4.5 too). I'ts just that we don't really like to play matches against eachother(my lil sister) just hit and she lives in Jersey.

All I know is that I refuse to play w/ someone like twice my age  (no offence, but)
