I don't have a clue, I always think of Eastbourne as a tournement the top players go to for a rest at the seaside just before Wimbledon. ;)

I say Kim; she usually can perform consistently well in non-slam events. she might even beat justine here, if it's not a final.

Justine :)

Justine Henin-Hardenne - her half of the draw seems pretty straight forward until the semis.

It will be interesting to see if Vera Zvonareva can keep up her mini-revival. I'd like her to win her 1st round match and play Kim Clijsters. That should be a potentially good match-up.

Nastya or Dani

justine won't, i expect her to play a few matches to get the feel of the grass. I doubt she's playing to win this tournament and i like it that way. it isn't good that she wores herself out now. she's got some bigger fish to fry starting about a week from now. she will lose or pull out before the clijsterssemi, i'm almost sure of that.

I voted for Mauresmo, but JHH will win it, obviously.

I doubt if Justine will win it ... she's just playing it for some grass practice!

If Justine does go deep (which is a big if) then obviously I will want her to win it, but if not, Kim or Kuzzy!!!

I agree, also in the same side as Dragonflame...

I so love if Justine could string a back-to-back grass title!
But then based on her and Carlos' agenda going to Wimbledon, she will just go to eastbourne for match practice and feel of the grass before the biggy...and of course she wanted that rest badly before the start of Wimbly!

though anything can happen....

You're mistaken. The whole exercise of going to Eastbourne is to practice on grass. If she makes the semis she will play Kim to see how they games match up on grass. If she makes the finals too - she'll play Kuzy or Amelie, again to see how their games match on grass.

Nobody is going to be playing 100%- they're are doing this as a warm up. Nothing lost - and whoever wins will gain some points.

Win/win situation for everyone. IF they lose, they can learn what not to do at SW19.

Kimmy I think great game for the grass and not as much pressure as not a slam so could be easier for her to beat some big players

Kim, Momo or Juju.

But I would like Dani to win it too... well, a longshot that is ;)

I don't understand that one either. She hasn't won a title in years. I don't think she's played a match with fewer than 50 UE's in years either.

i know  she's an average player with no big shots. five years since she burst onto the scene and people STILL think she is the next big star

I agree. I really can't see Dani getting anywhere near winning.

Whoops! I forgot - she's already out!

Look at the stats from her 1st round win at RG. She actually finished with more winners than errors.

Quit over exagerrating everything. People think she'll do something because they know she has the talent to do so and if she does use her talent big results will come. Quit making it look like people expect her to win Wimbledon. You're such a drama queen. :o

Look what we've found here... another Danka hater. Not a big surprise. :tape:

Most people are saying "I hope Danka" or "hopefully Danka". :smash:

Anyways, they have reason to vote for her. Even though she lost yesterday it's not like they are picking her to win Roland Garros.

She made the final here a couple of years ago and was two points from winning it. If she's done it before, she can do it again.
