Also, Maria didn't truly beat Tatiana in Miami. After coming all the way back from 5-1 down in the second and saving numerous set points, Tatiana forced the match into a third set. Maria took a controversial bathroom break (she had done it two other times in the tournament when the momentum suddenly wasn't in her favor), and went up a break in the third. This is when Tatiana suffered a ligament injury after she rolled her ankle, which would keep her out for months.
