View Full Version : What Is Wrong With Nadia Petrova?

she pulls together a winning streak through Amelia, Charleston and Berlin.
then she pulls out of Rome citing injury
then she bombs out 1R of Roland Garros
now she pulls out of Eastbourne citing injury

so basically in the span of 6 weeks (Rome - Eastbourne) she will have only played 1 match ... I think this is a new low for Nadia, who is used to playing every week

does anybody know exactly what is wrong with her
Wimbledon will not be the same without her

We know you can't wait for her to be back, so you'd have to whine about her playing every week.

I have to agree "Wimbledon won't be the same without her" What happened to "Ding Dong Akiko Morigami ushers Nadia Petrova out of Roland Garros"?

I am sad, I really start to like Nadia now and looked forward for when she starts to play again

if you knew nadia and followed her closely for years, you'd know that she takes it one step at a time.
so she's winning titles now, so she can beat anybody now, well - now she should be able to win grand slams right?
WRONG - she needs mental-fragility time-outs again :)
give her a year, maybe two - and she should be the most able player on tour for the RG-WIM double, or perhaps the complete grand slam.
yes - i love her dearly.

Maybe she's been reading this board and read everyone crapping on her for playing too much and having nothing left for the majors, so she's resting for Wimbledon.

if Nadia does not play Wimbledon, I will not be able to laugh in the faces of those posters that said she will win Wimbledon this year :tape: in my "Ding Dong, Akiko Morigami Ushers Nadia Petrova (3) Out of Roland Garros 62 62" thread

Nadia is doing okay now.
Linz is her first title defense, and you can expect Nadia to play her best

Sometimes after a victory or two Nadia finds the area above her heart and a little patch in the centre of her right bicep extremely sore, her team has found that these strange injuries coincide with her rise up the rankings
