This is an encouraging result for Hong Kong. I have heard that Wing-yau Venise Chan is a very promising young player and I think we should eye on her performance in the future years.

Hong Kong's Fed Cup team are going to be very formidable next year if they get their strongest team.
I wonder why Zhang Ling and Jessica Yang didn't play this year?

Venise def Polly Lam 6-3 6-4 in QF of 10K Thailand. So interesting to see HK players squaring off outside HK. :)

Congrats, Venise! Title no. 2!:yeah:
By the way, anyone knows if Tong Ka Po is making a full comeback? She gave three double bagels in Fed Cup this April and participated in two ITF tournaments ever since.

It would be good to see Tong Ka-Po come back, she showed a bit of promise when she first played ont he tour. Great result for Venise, Manila 10k ending the weekend of my 20th birthday woohoo, now Bangkok 10k  some great photos in the challengers tournaments threads if anyone wants to look them up, along with Polly Lam (who i think in one photo looks a lot like Peng Shuai!) and Jessica Yang. Go Hong Kong!

Oh, and after winning Bangkok, Venise is up to career high 585 in WTA rankings

Ling Zhang won a 10K recently  maybe taking over Venise now as Hong Kong's best hope, especially seeing as Venise has gone off to College in America instead of turning pro... Good decision if she kept getting stuck when she moved up to 25K's and losing early :o

i want to be their coach
