Is she going to wake up?

Nope. She's confirmed that she is *not* on the next season of the O.C.
She's doing films now, and commercials still. The focus next season will be on her lil sister.

Loved "Speeding Cars" by Imogen Heap which was played during the graduation ceremony. Another brilliant song by Iimogen heap!

I love Imogen Heap, especially "Hide and Seek" I actually love all the OC music - I've found so many new bands that I never would have known about!

I have a feeling that the next season will be the last we see of the OC.
It can't keep up against CSI and Grey's and it has been going rapidly downhill....

How did they kill Marissa off then?

Thanks for posting....
If they hadn't killed her, I don't know what they would have done with her next season when you remember everything she has gone through:

Remember, apart from breaking up with Ryan countless times, she's attempted suicide, had a drinking problem, that whole Oliver thing, had a lesbian relationship, shot Trey, got kicked out of Harbor, lost her friend Johnny and generally had a messed up life... ;)

The OC has played some great songs by Imogen Heap, but another one you should definitely listen to is "Come here boy". The OC has some really good music. Love the Bloc Party tracks they play.

I agree that next season will be the last season for the O.C. It had a good run.

i thought the final scene was totally unbelievable. ryan gets out of that car scarfree (how in the hell?) and he doesn't even call 911?

it wasn't real for me too. He isn't a good actor in my opinion too. The whole scene is pretty bad for a season ending and there are no feelings for someone who didn't watch an episode of OC (like me, just watch it because I'm bored ;)).

I think that if the show is going to survive another season then they had to kill Marissa. I love the show but she was driving me crazy. I'm sick of the whole Ryan and Marissa breakup/get back together/break up/Ryan punches somebody/marissa gets drunk/get back together angst.

I love the fact that they leaked fake spoilers to make most people think Sandy would be the one to die.

They even filmed different endings with different cast members dying so no one would be able to give away the real ending. Though, Mischa Barton told Access Hollywood her character on the O.C. dies a couple of hours before the finale, and they leaked it to the media.

I think that's part of the reason she was killed off. She was acting like a precious little diva... thinking she's above the show and is under some delusion that she's going to have a movie career. She'll be forgotten about soon enough. This way, by killing her off, she can't come back! Punishment!

I knew she would die because of the rumors about her wanting to get kicked off the show. Then, yesterday in school, everyone ruined it for me  (since I didn't watch it yet). But then I d/led and watched it yesterday, and it was still sad to watch  The OC is just so depressing sometimes

I just watched the final scene that someboyd posted and I had just no feelings.

So your girlfriend is dying, you haave a car crash and you are very clam, relax, watching fire all around and let her die :) Very real :)

Thank God that bitch is dead. Certainly the most obnoxious character on that show. I actually stopped to watch because Mischa Barton's and Benjamin McKenzie's horrible wooden acting skills and poor storylines involving their characters. I liked the Cohens - especially Seth, and Summer. But it's been a long time since I watched an entire episode of it, perhaps I'll watch it again since Marissa is gone for good! :p

Which is surprising is that she thinks all that despite being the terrible actress she is! She's retarded. :retard:

 That's just The OC, very real. And Ryan's character is emotionless, except when he's supposed to punch people in their faces. Whether that's on purpose, we're left wondering.

mischa barton's acting on the OC has been crap from the start. it's strange cause the girl has been really good in the past

Maybe Ryan was in a shock and didn´t he want to go get help but Marissa asked him to stay with her instead? I think the authors wanted to imply that Marissa felt her own death coming...uhhhhhh...lol (it´s the OC after all).

Well...well...I never ever liked Marissa but I am quite disappointed with Josh Schwartz deciding to kill her off. I mean it guarantees her never to come back but I don´t even think Marissa deserved that way of good-bye (killed in a muderous attempt by drunk Voltchok in the car Ryan´s mum had just bought him?!?). Oh come on!

In the history of tv-opera there is only one death weirder and more idiotic than Marissa´s: Dawson´s father dying in a car crash when his ice cream fell on the seats of his car whilst singing to some kind of folk music.

Death is never funny but couldn´t they have at least let Marissa die in a more ´useful´ manner?

What creeps me out is the circumstance that Schwartz actually wants the 4th season to be as funny and sarcastic as the first season again...so that works how exactly?

This seemed rushed and sort of cheap, in a way. I just didn't like it. But however she dies, it still is sad

I loved the first season of the OC, but couldn't be bothered with it since.

It would have been an amazing movie, but it has no staying power because they do too much.

Black Mamba.

This show is done. I'll admit I watched, but now that Marrisa is done I'm not gonna watch. I won't watch her little sister on the show next season.

Seriously now...could you imagine Keith Mars (Veronica Mars) dying that way? What the :tape: !

Death´s always ridiculous but since it is TV, they could have let him died in a more honourful way ;)
