It happens to all of us. People "hate" on us for various reasons.

Why do people "hate" on you?

“You hate someone whom you really wish to love, but whom you cannot love. That is a disguised form of love.”
Sri Chinmoy

:) That means that those who hate me subconsciously love me....awww,I feel so loved now

Because they love me really.

So, according to some on this board, you're the reason for racism, global warming, famine, disease, wars, hatred...no wonder people hate you. Oh, wait, you're a female...nevermind.

One has to be a 'player' first in order to be "hated on". I suspect that some people aren't aware of that stipulation.

double D. Question is: are they real? It doesn't matter because when you're rich you can buy anything you want.

Because I'm aggressive in putting forth my ideas, because they are jealous, because I'm well-liked, because I'm confident, because I don't take a whole lot of shit.

I'm a 48 year-old married white guy with two kids, a job, a mortgage and a mini-van. I look and talk like I just stepped out of the movie Fargo. You bet I do. Can I still be a 'player' so I can be 'hated on'? I don't want to be left out if that's what the youngsters are doing. Do I need to start wearing my trousers low on the hips or what?

Well, people hate on me because I can see the fun in life without having to always worrying about being liked. :p

I can see the beauty in all women, even when no one else does.

I am not afraid to be with someone, just for love's sake. :hearts:

And they especially hate on me because I'm not afraid to speak my mind...face-to-face, or on-line. :bounce:

Some folks kill me with the idea that everyone is hating on them when most of the time they are suffering from paranoia. I chalk most of the "everyone is hating on me" talk to delusions of grandeur. You walk outside and people are hating, you go to the store someone's hating there. I mean is anyplace safe?

I had one friend who always thought people were hating on him. Everytime we talked it was about how someone was jealous of his education, background, and social status. He did come from old money and had a little problem with stunting which made certain people insecure in his presence.

I finally told him that most of the haterism directed towards him was because of his attitude moreso than people being jealous, but then he turned around and called me a HATER.:haha: :haha:

As always, Hilary Duff says it best:

"Haters"

Dont spit on me and shame yourself
Because you wish you were someone else
You look so clean but you spread your dirt
As if think that words dont hurt
You build up walls no one can climb
The things you do should be a crime
You're queen of superficiality
Keep your lies out of my reality
And when you're nice it's just a pose
You're one of those

[Chorus]
Haters
Traitors to the human race
Haters
What a drag
What a waste
I'd like to see them disappear
They dont belong anywhere
Haters

Spinning a web thats hard to see
Of envy, greed and jealousy
Feeling angry but you don't know why
Why dont you look me in the eye?
You want my friends
You want my clothes
You're one of those

[Repeat Chorus]

Different life form
Different species
Broken promises and treaties
Talkin' bout exterminating
Not the haters
Just the hating
You say your boyfriend's sweet and kind
But you've still got your eyes on mine
Your best friend's got her eyes on yours
It all goes on behind closed doors
And when you're nice it's just a pose
You're one of those

[Repeat Chorus]

Haters
Later for the alibis
Haters
Any shape
Any size
I'd like to see them disappear
They dont belong anywhere
Haters

:)

I can only think of one person that hates on me. It's a poster here who obviously has built up agression with her training bra.;)

I figure that they are unhappy people (the deep kind of unhappiness, not day-to-day). Some obviously have anger issues. And some actually get treated badly themselves frequently so it seems normal to be ugly to others. :rain:

And a lot of them are immature, mostly teenagers playing bullying teenage games, or unfortunately older playing bullying teenage games. :tape:

And it's not personal, they need somebody to attack and at the moment they found me, but it could just as easily be someone else.

And it makes them feel just a tiny bit better, relieves some stress or gives them a little thrill, but only momentarily, to harm someone else. But it doesn't last and have to do it again or look for another victim soon enough, to get that good feeling again.

Fortunately we get to choose our own crowd in real life.

Some people hate me because I don't pretend to be anything different, they can't stand my honesty I guess lol

Perhaps people hate on me because I possess every loathsome, repugnant, vile, antisocial quality known to man and have even invented a few new ones. There's nothing in the human spirit I haven't dabauched and perverted. To do anything other than hate on me would amount to embracing all things unwholesome and corrupt.

I know there are at least four people on here who absolutely detest me. BUT, I think I can count up to at least five who really proactively like me, so I'm happy with that  , specially as the five who like me are plainly much much much nicer human beings than the four who detest me

Yes for family, home and career.

No for the Fargo accent.

You can't have it all.

Snicker.

Thank you. Paranoia and/or delusions of grandeur indeed!

Your friend definitely fits the M.O. In my experience, the majority of the time the persons being labelled a "hater" were either barely aware of the accuser or indifferent to them. Even when I pointed the accuser out, they'd say something like "who is she again?"
