Mother held over laxative cookies
A woman has been charged in the United States after allegedly helping her daughter make biscuits for a teacher that were spiked with laxatives. The teacher had reportedly given the girl low marks.

However the alleged prank backfired when the teacher did not eat the biscuits but shared them among her class. Four children became ill.

Julie Hunt, 43, appeared in Skowhegan District Court in Maine and pleaded not guilty to a minor assault charge.

The daughter and two other girls were not arrested but have been suspended from Carrabec Community School in Anson, Maine.

According to police testimony to the court, Ms Hunt told the girls how to crush laxative pills and stir them into a biscuit mix.

The girls, aged 13 and 14, used an entire box of pills, it said.

The Associated Press reports that the biscuits were left on the teacher's desk with a note saying "We made these cookies just for you, hope you enjoy them."

Minor assault charges for making a person have a faster BM than they had before?
What would the police have done if it was prune juice?
Poor Poor Children. They became "ill".
Only in a place as boring as Maine would this have even been considered news.
