She is ranked #901 Her ranking is not even good enough to get into Qualies. :p Unless she won some JR event and got a WC into Qualies

JAMIE HAMPTON ? Is this a joke ?? She is ranked #901 Her ranking is not even good enough to get into Qualies. :p Unless she won some JR event and got a WC into Qualies

Shes #2 in the U18 USTA rankings, she was singles and was a doubles finalists last year in the Clay Court Nationals, and she beat all the rest of the young American hopes in the WC playoff the held. So for U18 girls in America shes the best shot they got.

And she won singles and finals of doubles at Nationals is what I meant in the other post.

I agree Jamie could become good on clay but the thread starter said at the french ;)

I think Jamea Jackson will be a tough one ot beat on clay this year. Her game is suited perfectly and if her body can be healthy, she could surprise a seed.

The French-USA deal is for a qualifying wildcard. Win or lose the experience will help her. Winning one or two matches will really be a victory for the USA on clay.

Perry has a lot of potential she just isnt living up tp it her game is soooo versatile and fun to watch she could do damage but she just doesnt seem to live up to that potential.

Alexa Glatch - U.S. Open - 2005

Don't forget about Alexa who at age 15 defeated world #120 Yuliana Fedak in the first round of the 2005 U.S. Open.

When she came back form her injury, she didn't exactly come back in "style". So I don't see her doing well until later this year.

Jamie should do well...if she gets a good draw I think she can win one or two matches. She's young and has a lot of potential, hopefully she can get a win or two!! GOOD LUCK JAMIE and congrats on the WC!

Perry is the best one but she seems to lack motivation, and all the talent in the world can't make up for that.

Jackson is also very good and appears to be more mentally solid. I dunno who said she was overrated but that's wrong. Haynes on the other hand IS overrated and her results have really fallen off.

I haven't seen Vania King play yet.
