Don't yell at me if this is common knowledge, but I have not heard the latest news on Mary and her plans/injuries/ability to play soon.

Does anyone know Mary's plans and if she is going to play Roland Garros? Last year was so wonderful for Mary and I was hopng she might have been able to build on it.

She is training physicaly since the OGF, swimming, musculation ...and she can now do some biking and walking without pain. She does some physicals tests with the team lagardere and those test are absolutly horrible, when she get out of there she is exausted. (sources from l'équipe)

She is allowed to play twice a day and only 30 minutes each time for 2 weeks now, she has medical care every afternoon since february.

She said for now doctors asked her to not move on the court just hit the ball and she added that she's feeling something strange inside her foot but no pain at all.

She is waiting for the result of the new echography, she wants to play but she will follow doctors's advices and she will probably not play Roma and hopes to play RG but it's not sure.

It's not "the" news that's depressing!... just the fact that she maybe will miss RG...

so don't missunderstand me :)

I really want her to play RG.

I suspect that Mary is fiddling with her hair, blowing on her fingers, gazing off into space and considering her options. I wish her nothing but the best.

I think that she will come back strong, even if it is ever her beloved RG, which would be a little empty w/o Mary>P

Bad news: she's injured. Good news: she always comes back strong.

i must not be at one with the cosmos. There are only three players i care about on tour - Patty, Chanda, and Mary.

One spoils what would have been a stellar career for many years with personal issues and the other two are right up there as candidates for "The Player Who Loves To Get Injured Award".

Shit I just found and watched a tape of her playing Bepa at RG I'd forgotten what an oscar winning performance she had treated the crowd to.

I think Zvonareva still would have got the nod though. Her impression of a petulant 10 year old girl was remarkable
