Well I'm watching and recording now at ESPN CLassic the match Rubin vs. Novotna at Roland Garros 1995, Novotna was leading 5-0 final set and had nine matchpoints and couldn't win it at all.

Woowwww I can't believe it, but great fight though from Rubin I guess.

It´s a choke, what else could be said. Amazing yes, considering the 5-0 40-0 lead

With Jana, believe anything. I still can't believe she choked away a 1-4 lead on serve during the final set of her wimbeldon final against Steffi. :o
But that was steffi. Choking away a 5-0 40-0 lead against rubin is ridiculous. :tape:

By us we were saying that Jana is queen of donated chances. Her psyche was incredible. And do you remember Wimbledon 1993 final against Graf??? It was the same. She lost and she cried.

I remember watching this match. Was the commentary done by Dick Enberg and Chris Evert? Did they show Hana in the stands punching her own hand?

I remember that match. I like Chanda and was very pleased for her but I felt so sorry for Jana...

I was very happy when Jana won Wimbledon - Jana winning and Goran I. winning are two special Wimbledon memories for me. :) (I cry too - I can't help myself... ;) )

No it was French ESPN Classic, so there were French commentators, who is Hana, Mandlikova, well I don't know who she is sorry!

Hana Madlikova was Novotna's coach

Jana's coach, a former pro. Perhaps the camera flashed to her in the stands, looking ever so frustrated. Jana looked up at her and Hana had one hand in a fist and was punching the palm of her other hand, signalling to Jana to fight. It was simultaneously sad and comical.

Chanda is notorious for her fightbacks , or was rather  Didn't she and Aranxta play a match before that had a scoreline of like 16-14 third set in Chanda's favour

Melbourne, 1996. They were also doubles partners for that tournament.
