Elena is out of Berlin - again in an early round. Yet her ranking is still relatively high.
Elena is rarely mentioned here - just wondering why she has so few fans. She can seem a little arrogant sometimes, but she does seem driven to me. I would say she and Dechy have the fewest fans for top 20 players. Are there any Elena fans at all?

Elena is such a sweet girl. I like her very much and also her copassion for the game.
I got to know her a bit after her victory over Farina Elia. I called Elena and she came over to the other side of the court, signed something for me and even asked me if I enjoyed the match. :) I really, really like her. :)
I seem to like players that don't have so many fans: Maleeva, Likki, Schiavone... :)

Oh and Elena is sort of a player that has streaks of great tournaments and streaks of worse ones... Usually she starts to peak at a certain event and then the rest of her season is quite good...
So I'm not worried too much about her...

I'm not a huge fan, but I've liked her for the last ten years or so - she's one of those players who I like to see do well but I'm not hugely disappointed if she loses.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan, but I like her geometric forehand technique. It's rather straightforward looking.
