When i try to play some videos on the net through WMP, its buffers for 2 seconds and then just sayd "Ready", and when I press play nothing happens, but these videos seem to work fine on other peoples computers.

What can I do??

jrm could well be right about the codecs. :)

I'd download the free DivX player as its codecs make a lot of things work.

http://www.divx.com/divx/codec.php

Choose the "Play" bundle but remember to follow what it says about unchecking the "DivX Pro 15-Day Trial" bit when you install it.

You can play stuff in DivX or in WMP, the new codecs are used by both so it doesn't matter which you use.
