It depends on the person.
It depends on the person having nice calves.
If a person doesn't have them, then it puts too much focus on the feet.
If they do have them, a lot of people usually forget that a person is wearing sandals.

Surfish thong sandals aren't girly to me. They're just convenient when you're on a beach holiday for walking on the road/stones or laze around the hotel, even the sea.

I must agree.

My b/f wears Birkenstocks (Boston-type) sometimes, but I've never seen him go for the thong-type sandals. I wear thong-type sandals because my feet are petite, tanned, pericured and I can work it like that. Loves it.

That wouldn't be very lady-like attire. I don't wear guys stuff!

Aside from that, socks with sandals???? My boyfriend does do that sometimes and I think it looks stupid. I've never told him because I think its just a guy thing. However, I would NEVER wear socks with sandals. NEVER.

Right, and big logos, ugh. :tape: I do like that kind of sandal too. Just no big logos, please, we don't have to adverstise somebody's company for them by what we wear.

I had no idea wearing thong sandals for guys was even controversial, much less so unacceptable by some people  . I've seen it all my life, I guess cuz I spent so many years swimming. But even off the pool deck every guy I know would wear that kind of sandal.

OKOK, I'm REALLY not seeing the big deal with sandals/flip flops here. :o I mean... if you get a nice pair, there is nothing wrong with them!!!!! They're just to protect your feet from burning, summer necessity. Geez. :p

Trainers on the other hand should be banned outside any sporting activity. :o Unless they're the non-sport leisure type ones.

In the USA, it's not that shocking to see a guy in sandals. I don't personally like the look, I prefer flip-flops (or rainbows, whichever), but there are some queers guys at my school who like wearing sandals.

Nodoby makes fun of them or anything, though.

I would literally spend a day sewing up a :help: banner to unfurl in front of any man that wore these.

A thong sandal will have two pieces of leather, going from each side to between the Big Toe and the Second Toe.

Flip flops are the same thing but made of rubber.

There are other kind of sandals that are not thong sandals, those might go around the whole foot and have a buckle, or have a bar of leather that goes from side to side.

lol...since when have homosexuals most commonly been referred to as "queers?"
Gay and homosexual are the most commonly used terms.
it may be different where you are, but calling someone "queer" is very offensive. they don't mean the same thing and you may want to look back at how the term "queer" has been used before saying that it's ok to use the term on a regular basis.

besides...if you thought it was ok to use, why did you scratch it out in the first place?
