Go Venus.

Technically she has never lost at Warsaw. That 2003 final was when she retired in the final set. sad memories of that awful injury

But it is always good to return to a place that you have been succsful at in the past!

Go Venus! :bounce:

Well things look good since both Venus and Richard were on the practice courts today, it also looks like that Venus has got a new racket, but I don't know for sure if she is also going to use it in her matches!

All is well, Richard Williams is in the house. He must be there for a reason, he is ready to set the records straight, to tell the media where to go, to play with their minds, and to protect his daughter. I always feel better when Mr. Williams is around, he means business, and he is sending a message. Venus is back.

Venus won her match today against Radwanska with two times 6-3!!!
Congratulations Venus, up next in the second round is Martina Hingis. It sure is a mouthwatering match to look forward too!

Well,I'd like to praise Venus' today's perfomance,it was her first comeback match and she played it well because I think Ula is a promising girl.

Against Martina, trutufully speaking,I am a little bit worried about her, because I think Martina is getting her beat back,so I guess it would be a hard match for Venus.

But c'mon V,I have confidence in you, you're the unique one,the only QUEEN!

And Venus ties it up with her 2nd dramatic
match of the year! Great job Venus!

She ran hot and cold, was down 4-6 0-3 0-30
and rallied back in impressive style despite
the cramping she had in both legs!

Rest up Venus,
warrior still has some
battle yet to be done! :)

Next up for Venus Williams is Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia, I think it's 2-1 advantage for Venus in the Head to heads

Australian Open 2003 first round Venus won 6-4 6-2

Dubai quarterfinal 2004 Svetlana won 6-2 6-3

And hey, Warsaw 2004 final Venus won 6-1 6-4
