View Full Version : HELP Needed: Cheap-Ass Paris Accommodation

Hey :wavey:

^bibi^ (Greg) and moi are going to Roland Garros and we need to sleep somewhere, obviously. The thing is, I am a poor student and really don't have the finances available to live the Parisian life the rich way. So, we are looking for cheap-ass accommodation.

We found:

- The Bois du Boulogne Camping. Cheap, but Greg's mother says it's bad. Has anyone here stayed there?
- A budget hotel for 11 per night, but it is a private four-bed room and requires us to pay for all four beds  So in reality it's 22 per person per night

We are pretty desperate. If there is someone here that can help, please do so! I would personally even be OK with crashing on the floor in my sleeping bag, so if some Parisian poster wants to host us

Help will be much appreciated!

:wavey:

I'd host you.

If I lived in Paris, that is.

It would be useful if you specified which period you were going, or are you staying the entire fortnight?

€22 per person per night isn't that expensive.

I'm a student too and I happily paid about that much to stay in a hostel when I went to Wimbledon last year.

I guess it depends how much you are planning to spend on beer and stroopwafels when you get there. Or you could always go a whole month without any stroopwafels in order to save up for the accommodation. I know I'd save about €90 doing that.

I'd host you.

If the French Open was in Wales, that is.

Alternatively you can go early and play some music near the Eiffel Tower to raise some extra cash.

Or stay up late on street corners. The French gay scene will go wild for some Coo action.

And with Greg added as a bonus, things should really get crazy.

BTW, James is right. Should have mentioned the date.

It's 23rd until the 30th of May. That is seven nights. We will be arriving in the morning of the 23rd and will be leaving the evening of the 30th.

I see, Sarah and me will only be there from the 2nd of June until the 4th of June, so you won't be able to share our hotel room.

Not a bad idea for Tijn and Greg, plenty of clochards under the bridges over the Seine to show them the ropes.
