View Full Version : Three Cheers for Ms ShriverRockz!!!

:) :) :) :)

I'm not sure whether this thread will get buried before the banshee herself gets to read it, but I would just like to inform boarders that Pamela will be jetting off to spread The Word in antipodean territory soon. So Australia, watch out. Gord knows how she did it, but they've allowed her entry.

No seriously, this is not the epitaph of Pamela Shriver aka Ms Rockz aka Virginia Wade aka Sue Barker aka manymoreI'msure, but I doubt we'll be hearing much more of her unique wit and and..er..whimsical oddities for a while. All good things must come to an end.

I would like to thank her on behalf of all the barmy people around the world -- "the world", that's how famous she is -- for the thousands of laughs she has given me over the last five years. She taught me one thing: insanity will prevail over all evil. I have archives of her random emails ramdomly telling me about the importance of random things in a rambling sort of style. Random Ramblings, they shall be known as.

Good luck to her, and all the happiness she deserves, in whatever guise she finds most appropriate. Wales' loss is Australia's gain!!

All joking aside, have a wicked time, it would be hard not to have a great time in Aus :D Make sure you come back with many a Ramsay St memorabilia (perhaps the street sign itself???? ;) ) and take a begillion photos of everything. ever. Then when you come back you can regale us all with tales of your escapades down under ;)

I'll be there to encourage the Jake posting don't you worry Sian ;)

You also have to go find strange and new crazy Aussie music and then spread the word back to this board and get everyone crazy about something wonderfully weird

Do you know where in Aus you are going yet? Staying around a specific area or are you going to travel around a bit and see lots of places? I think you mentioned that your sister is in Aus so are you jsut going to visit her for a bit? Oh so many questions but I'm so excited for you!!! :bounce: And incredibly jealous... ;)

It'll be just like the old days <only er in SUN!> ;) I'm definately going to see other parts of Australia too though, as much as I can. Giraffes are hard to find but always well worth it ;) Random advice - if you ride a camel (there are squillions in Oz) take a cushion. I lost half the skin off my arse on a camel ride round Ayres Rock :o

But the UK (more specifically Wales) is about 2000 miles closer to LA than Australia is. Plus, the Queen spends a lot of time in Spain playing golf.

Australia is about 3789437894698569856 million miles from everywhere!

I cannot concur with this piece of advice enough!!! Camels are bastards for comfort I find, and trekking round Ayer's Rock on one is not kind to the ol' behind I can tell you ;)

However, on another random camel-centred piece of advice: if you get a chance try a camel burger, they're very tasty :) ;)

It is really is quite tasty, no joking! Better than a beef burger in my opinion (although that's not very hard)

Aussie food is great fun, I loved it, I tried Kangaroo steaks, the previously mentioned camel burgers, crocodile, snake, horse, rabbit (although you can get that anywhere...), there's all sorts out there :D No koala's on the menu I'm afraid ;), I so would have loved to try one though! ;) Plus if you're into your seafood (which I am most definitely not *barf*) then it's also great cos you can go get your barbi and then find some shrimp, I'm sure some nice Aussie could help you cook them ;)

And look after Deb.

Wha? I need looking after? Well, I guess Katie knows how to google better than I do.

The outside of one of the buildings of Grundy TV in Melbourne was the outside wall used for Prisoner. A picture please. Any Prisoner memorabilia will be greatly appreciated. I might send you the Police - Do Not Cross tape I've been too lazy to send for ages.

If you see Wenders, ask her how many blondes in Florida she's eyed up recently.

Snuffkin! Why 'tis you I met at Wimbledon three years ago!! I made the most minor faux pas and asked if you were Sian's aunt! You should have said "No, are you her sister?".

Heheeheheheheh. Haha! :rolls:

You didn't seriously look that old. I was just...well...I don't know what I was thinking, I just knew that Sian was looking for her aunt and then she said "Oooh, look who it is". You seemed familiar to her...and. I had to say something, I'd only just met you. I probably just said the wrong thing in implying that you were about 25 years older than you were. Haha. Is all forgiven? After all, I never was too good at guessing ages, genders, etc, etc.

But I remember we had a good laugh at Jen's highscewl gradez and Mary's French. LOL.

Aaaaah, what a happy reunion.

P.S Sian: I've just thought, I always did want to get woken up by Shorn, so text away at 3am!

Yeah, yeah...keep digging. After hearing about your error with Sian's gender I'll let this slide. Besides, it would have been a bigger mess had you suggested I was my own aunt, which although impossible, as Sian can confirm, my aunt's not worth aspiring to. What is it with aunts and Wimbledon?

I got your PM but thought I'd reply to you here, just to prove I'm the forgiving sort. And 'twas funny. In all honestythough , I don't even remember you asking me directly about being Sean's aunt. So you see, you could have got away with it.

You doing Wimbledon this year? I keep thinking a pile of us should get together for big laughs one Wimbledon and I'll make the suggestion to do it this year even though I still have no idea what my plans are.

Yeah, yeah...keep digging. After hearing about your error with Sian's gender I'll let this slide.

I've been male, I lost a foot race with Wenders, I meet people in toilets, I harassed Pam, and disgraced Ginny by forgetting to curtsey at her feet....Oh the shame!

Poor Tom has lived in shame since he thought you were my aunt. And my aunt is delighted <if she knew> that so many people are talking about her in a message forum ;)

How gracious of you, my dear :)

You're right that I'm terrible with gender, lol. Sian had to urgently interrupt her holiday in Toronto to tell it to me straight. "Hi Tom, weather's great, Aranxta's playing crap..umm...sun is shining, birds are singing, I hate the Williams sisters, we all do, there's this gorky teenager known as K-k-k-kz-Kuznetsova, and I'm not gay, I'm not even a man."

Yes, I would love to meet up with you at Wimby. Went there last year and it was pantz. Weather was crap, and nobody else was there apart from my friend. We just watched Mary against Ana Ivanisevic (as one member of the crowd insisted - Goran's sister, no doubt LOL) and I almost asked Madmoiselle Pierce for her brother's number, but got nervous at the last moment. Chance of a lifetime blown, because he wouldn't have been able to resist. She did wink at me, though. But that's no good - I wanted her brother, not that old tart. I can't believe I just said that about a lady of the cloth!

But I Do Love Mary :hearts:

Just email me if you come up with something, because as yet I have no plans either.

Yeah my uni is eville to me. The bullies. Ahh I don't mind, this term has flown, it's only been about a second since Xmas! Eek, you got broken into Gemz?! That suckz. I'd be so raging. Especially if anyone touched my photo of me and Rufus.

Yeah, it was just before xmas, everyone went out except for me and one other housemate, we were soundly asleep upstairs whilst downstairs creepy manc burglers were snooping about the place :scared: We didn't realise anything had happened til one of of the other housemates came home cos all her stuff had been rifled through  Luckily only a few things were taken, and it could have been worse but luckily it wasn't! :) Still it meant a visit from the forensics people, which I loved!

And another Sydney tip *still jealous* if the weather's nice (which it blatently will be! *jealous* ;) ) you should head into the Botanical Gardens which are kind of just past the Opera House if you are heading away from the main city bit, it's beautiful in there and I'm sure it would be a good photography area...not that I know much about photography at all...;)

Talking about packing, I have to pack my stuff as well, as I am going back home for the weekend tomorrow  No need for such extensive packing here though. I think I can leave the sink in the kitchen.

Aw you're not taking the kitchen sink?? Disappointing! Go on, you know you want to ;)
