Should I? !<blocparty>! Mar 27th, 2006, 06:03 AM No. Kart Mar 27th, 2006, 05:12 PM I Just Think A Person Is Happier And With Much More Oportunities By Accepting Others And Understanding The Human Eh? RunDown Mar 27th, 2006, 06:56 PM  @ the replies Gonzo Hates Me! Mar 27th, 2006, 07:40 PM well I saw the movie crash and kept me thinking LOL. Crash? This movie's a bit, MUCH! Don't you think? I thought it would have been a better film if it was more relatable by making some of the characters more subtle... if the events dealt more with the subconciousness of being "racist" and "prejudice". It would have been more interesting and allowed the viewer to think for her/himself more. Instead the film was just so overt and ostentatious. It was like a spectacle! Just too much karl m Mar 27th, 2006, 08:02 PM LOL. Crash? This movie's a bit, MUCH! Don't you think? SelesFan70 Mar 27th, 2006, 08:15 PM I Just Think A Person Is Happier And With Much More Oportunities By Accepting Others And Understanding The Human I just need to understand myself. :) No Name Face Mar 27th, 2006, 08:34 PM for sure. John A Roark Mar 27th, 2006, 09:33 PM Forget your sensitivity issues. Forget the idealism of right and wrong and the harmony among mankind. Go bottom line, here: Racism is stupid. It's inefficient. It's irrational. It makes about as much sense as saying, "I will only eat steaks from red angus, not black angus," or, "I will only spin yarn from white wool, not black." Paying attention to the suprficial surface and ignoring the substance is the hallmark of a petty individual, unwilling to commit to reality. le bon vivant Mar 27th, 2006, 11:42 PM Yes I am Pheobo Mar 28th, 2006, 02:09 AM I Consider Myself Racist Because I Hate Most People. Fantastic Mar 28th, 2006, 04:38 PM I don't like blood nuts, does that count as racist? Shallow, yes, but racist? I don't like their smell and their dandruff. Don't even get me started on those red freckles on their faces. It gives me the creeps. Even Ronald McDonald makes me want to run the other way. Not a fan of red heads, I'm afraid. Sorry to red heads everywhere. But you guys are the freaks of the human race. You guys can't even go out in the sun without turning bright red like a tomato and burning within 5 seconds of exposure. And the smell! Blergh. A huge apology to Lindsay Lohan, Carrot Top, Nicole Kidman, Sarah Pitkowski and all the freaky red-haired children of the world. I'm scared of you!! Dye your hair or something! Go blonde. I might like you better... unless I can still smell you! In which case, nothing can save you now. You are doomed for eternal damnation! ;) ^bibi^ Mar 28th, 2006, 04:42 PM Forget your sensitivity issues. Forget the idealism of right and wrong and the harmony among mankind. It's so unusual to read something intelligent on this board... let's salute it :) ^bibi^ Mar 28th, 2006, 04:45 PM I Consider Myself Racist Because I Hate Most People. This is not racism... racism is hating someone because of his origins... it can be extended to hating someone because he belongs to a "group" (I.E. homophobia) But hating other human beings is not racism... (it's mysanthropie in french, must be something close in english lol) SelesFan70 Mar 28th, 2006, 04:54 PM for sure. It's been "proven" on this board! Just too much But for many, they need to be “hit over the head” a la “Crash” for things to penetrate. A lot of people are stuck in this ‘I-have-a-black-friend-so-can’t-I-be-racist’ mentality; they are utterly clueless. No Name Face Mar 28th, 2006, 06:35 PM It's been "proven" on this board! Unless of course those that have been predjucied against decide to keep the whole thing alive. I was racist as a Primary School kid because it was how I "knew" to behave, not racist in attacking people...more joke telling etc. I've since luckily had the opportunity of life experiences and the "University Of Life" to ensure I have no bias. IMO as always ;) meyerpl Mar 29th, 2006, 06:06 AM I thought bigotry was an individual trait, while racism is systemic. Kunal Mar 29th, 2006, 06:13 AM dont think so man PamShriverRockz Mar 29th, 2006, 06:42 AM I think a lot of racism and other prejudices for that matter is to do with the fear of the unknown (to that partiular individual). Unfortunately  | |
