WinMX is still around.

Just go to the WinMX Forum (http://www.vladd44.com/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=1). There's threads on how to install WinMX, plus you can post threads or send PMs to get help if you're stuck on some of the details.

What I did was:

1. Go to this website (http://www.mxpie.com/downloads.html).
2. Click on 'Pie Automatic Installer'.
3. Hit 'save', then save it into the 'MXPatch 2.9' folder.
4. Run and install the MXPie Patch v2.9.exe.
5. Go back to this website (http://www.mxpie.com/downloads.html).
6. Click on 'Mirror 2' of WinMX 3.53
7. Hit 'save', and save it into the 'WinMX 3.53' folder.
8. Run and install WinMX3.53.exe.

If there's any more trouble, copy and paste "Vladd44 Help Channel_5F6505501A22" into the WinMX chat room. There's people there 24/7 who'll help solve problems with your connection, router and stuff.

And yes, LimeWire sucks :o

I rarely use p2p programs these days. There's too many hacks using those program who'll either post up false files or slip in some sort of spyware into your computer.

I either buy CDs or just ask around for websites. Anyway, when I get an iPod, I'll be using iTunes, since it's not expensive and guarantees good quality :)
