I know-- she was "wrong" so many times (like when she said Saddam was dead) yet people still continue to believe her     :tape: :tape: :tape: :tape:

Here's a good quote from her site:

"Sylvia and Chris (her son) record every reading and give you the tape; they are not afraid to have their work audited. They always find a way to help you with life's troubles. Other "psychics" tell people that their problems are caused by the person's own negative blocks, curses, evil entities, demons, or karmic retribution. Do not believe these things. They do not exist. Only a fraud will tell you such things."

A Reading with Christopher (her son)
Chris is an authentic psychic from birth. Being Sylvia's son he shares in her genetic predisposition to psychic excellence. Chris is the only other psychic recommended by Sylvia. He has been a working psychic for 15 years now, and has built his own clientele from thousands of satisfied clients. Chris is a superb reader and the best alternative to Sylvia.

Say what you will about the woman but she's more entertaining than Miss Cleo ever was. I love when she sticks her thick finger in her mouth and twirls her hair and acts like she is talking to the dead.

Hilarious stuff!:haha: :haha:

I can't believe people actually believe her of all people who claim to be psychics, but hey, she's obviously convincing a good number of people so can't blame her for keeping on with it. And she is very funny, what really craks me up about her is that she is so quick to answer, and she does so in a tone that seems so matter of fact. You get some poor mother on Montel saying that her daughter's been missing for 6 months, and right away Sylvia's telling her that she's dead in a forest somewhere along an interstate road in a spot the police happened to miss  But don't worry, cause she's not in purgatory, she's in a good place now and whenever dear mom hears the windows shutter, that's her daughter's way of saying she's with her. :p It just shocks me how she comes off as so fake even when she tries to be sympathetic!

That's sylvia in a nutshell.

 I remember one episode when this lady asked where her husband that's been missing for 2 months is and she flat out told her he's dead and then moved on to the next person. :tape:

She's a psychic teacher too.

Does that mean she teaches others how to be psychic? Is it then not a gift? :tape:

few people realize that she gets a ghost-writer to write most of her books for her...

Slyvia Browne is a very interesting women. I don't feel she has all the answer, I don't think anyone has all the answers but there is likely a grain of truth to the things she is talking about in the terms of the afterlife.
It's not exactly what I would consider a general Christian belief of the afterlife, it seems to be a somewhat religious belief but not one where there are too many barriers.
I do believe there are such things as ghosts and other paranormal spirits/entitys.
I do beleive that EVP and Ouija boards are a way to get to the other side but also a portal to other evil things.
I do think that there are other forms of life in this universe.
I also beleive there are human perceptions of sixth senses that many people have but ignore.
I even think there's a grain of truth in the movie "Ghost".
After the tsunami that happened in 2004 in Asia and Africa, I do think that there are things that animals can hear, see, and feel that humans can't.
Is it so hard to beleive in these things when some of the Moslem faith believe there happens to be 72 virgins waiting for them at the gates of what they consider to be heaven?

The thing will Silvia is that she picks and borrows what she feels will get her more "followers." She is however, full of shit!

As much as I have a hard time believing in Sylvia Browne, I can see what makes her so believable to so many people.

Fact is, she is not a pretentious woman and if anything, she comes across very sincere about what she is doing and believe or not, NORMAL.

And that is what makes her scary in some respects is how damn normal she really seems.

There is another medium kinda like her out there that has become pretty popular although I can't think of her name off the bat. (I have seen her show advertised) She is very Sylvia like and would not be surprised if she gave Browne a run for her money in the business.

Still though, if anything, it makes for great entertainment when you are bored.

Never said that she wasn't full of shit.
The Catholic Church has many followers but you don't see even half of them listening and believing everything that happens to come out of the pope's mouth.
We take what we want to hear.
So Silvia can pick and borrow what she wants, in the end I am going to take what I believe the afterlife to be too.
All of course going about it in a rational fashion as I possibly can.
Considering humans probably don't know an inkling of the knowledge in the universe, it's not too hard to think there are things out there that we just don't understand or can comprehend because we're too simple.
