It is my humble opinion that Serena (and Lindsay) has one of the most technically sound service motions in Women's tennis, and I would very much love to see videos ofher serve as I don't have any. Anyone knows where I can download some videos of Serena serving or someone with similar service technique. I'm trying to improve my serve, as it is the main reason I'm 5-21 since the beginning of the year :o.

Serena until 2003 that is. She was so explosive, up into and thru the ball. :hearts: Last few years she has just lost that explosiveness, due at least in part to injuries. No videos either.

yeah Rena's serve motion changed after surgery she doesnt jump all that much now because of the knee (i think) wich made her lose a bit that huge "explosive" impact on the ball  still her serve motion is still a must follow its beautiful :hearts:
oh and no videos here as well

I think between the knee and the ab injury a couple of years ago, the serve just hasn't been the same.

That's true I noticed that to. Before Serena got injured she use to bend her knees and jump into the court when she served. Know she hardly ever even jump for the ball, but I think it's the knee and the weight that's keeping her from jumping into the court, right know she is just way to heavy and the weight is add more pressure to her knees.

When she was dominating, Serena's serve was miles ahead of everyone else's. She had such great disguise; she could serve to all corners of the court with the same ball toss - so you never know where she was going to hit it. Like you guys said, her injuries have lessened the effect of her serve, but it's still pretty good IMO. She's still in the top ten in that category, I think.
