Well, a fourth round appearance would be great. :)

EDIT: The draw changed a bit because of Vaidisova's withdrawal, currently Jankovic might be easier to beat than Pennetta.

EDIT 2: The road is wide open until the quaterfinals, don't waste this chance Nastya! :speakles: :scared:

Its really not that bad. Jankovic has been terrible all year. Pennetta has never had great success in bigger tournaments. Venus has only played one match all year and lost it obviously. But then again Nastya has been pretty bad as well. Sharapova is the biggest threat. Then maybe Hantuchova. I can't believe I said that. There are a few tough unseeded players like Na Li, Emma Laine, and Anna Chakvetadze but none are near Nastya.

I'm already happy,if it's not always dementieva , likhovtseva and safina ,who are near.

Nastya should be (and better be  ) fine until Venus Williams 4th round. That is if Venus makes it that far, as her form is totally unknown. I'll be satisfied with a QF finish.

As long as she lives up to her seeding I'll be somewhat satisfied. It will be a start. I think the Aussie Open is the only tournament she has lived up to her seeding so far this year. Tokyo as well.

Lourdes Dominguez Lino (ESP)
Meilen Tu (USA)
vs.
Carly Gullickson (USA)
Bryanne Stewart (AUS)

Anastasia Myskina (RUS)
Dinara Safina (RUS)
vs.
Daniela Hantuchova (SVK)
Ai Sugiyama (JPN) [5]

She teams up again with Dinara.
The downfall for Nastya in doubles might continue, as she and her partner get a hard first round match. :tape:
