She was a consistent top 100 player though. She could have built on that and became a top 90 player :lol:

She played collegiate tennis before she became a pro, but I doubt she has asked to be reinstated to amatuer status just to play collegiate tennis again.

Irvin's prize money might have approached 100K but after tax & expenses she was making like 25-30K a year.

Yes that is the reality of it, was discussed thoroughly about a year ago. Lower ranked players are not eating very well....
