That sounds like a very lucrative and marketable degree, hon! Way to go! Beats the crap out of Psychology and Art History! :o Yeah, those were REAL marketable.....

Here, in The Netherlands, Web Development and Design is not exactly the best degree to hold when you want a job. Very volatile labour market. But he has other degrees, which definitely form an asset. Though he will probably find the asshole companies that think he will be overqualified for some jobs

I do actually!
I got accepted into the Master Programme at Univ of Liverpool (UK), but I'm too broke now to do it. Plus tuition for in international student is $$$$$$$$ too much for me right now.

Do it! If I can go back and juggle all the stuff life has thrown at me in the last 2 years and work a very demanding job - you can totally do it!!

Even if I do nothing with my degree, at least I have it. That's the big thing for me. I did this purely for myself. Of course, I'd love it translate to something new/bigger/exiting. But either way, I'm overjoyed that I did it. This is one of the biggest accomplishments in my life.

I'm currently an undergraduate at the Uni of Liverpool - I'd recommend it! There are zillions of international students here, but I agree the fees they charge are unbelievable.

It's true that the market in the field isn't the best one and one needs to have at least 3-4 years of experience or Ph.D in order to get those hot jobs. The best emerging markets for IT and IT security graduates are in the medical field, like hospitals and other type of health care institutions.
Of course he'd could be taking over my job if I decide to quit but for that he'd need Ph.D or those years of experience in the IT field....possibly both.
