Upon returning from work this evening (yes, I work Saturday nights), I received an email stating: 'The album will be called "Voila". It will be released in late 2006, instead of earlier due to Belinda working on some final touches  :worship:

Must be a very independent label that signed her.

I would have been more optimistic had the GoGo's returned. Belinda is okay, but the band rocked.

Belinda has a very strong presense in Europe and surounding areas. She took time off to tour with the GoGos and to be with her family . She is coming back because she wants to...i am sure ther will be a bidding war. There is a music industry outside of the US you know  Ps... Incase you didn't Belinda is married to very prominent entertainment figure ;) James Mason :hearts:

From what i have heard she is going for a modern pop sound with a prime focus on her amazing vocals. They will first release the cd throughout Europe where her last full legth cd yielded 4 top 40 singles( including two top 10s) :worship:

I hope it wonít be too modern, letís say traditional enough to remind us the late 80ís sound, anyway. ;) I wonder why she had waited for so long; probably Madonna has been a good inspiration to her. :D

Thanks for the information! :wavey:

Your welcome :D She was just tired of the music industry and needed a break. It happins sometimes...sad but true  This is my fave quote of Belindas..this came from, 2001/2002..when she was part of the GOGOS us sellout tour ;)
------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 2001, at the tender age of 43, Belinda accepted an offer to appear in the August issue of Playboy. She obliged, and was Miss August, 2001. She doesn't regret the action that some frowned upon - in fact, she's quite proud of it. She proved that you don't need to be '20 years old with plastic tits' to be sexually viable, and to be viable as a woman. Belinda..we miss u

Thatís true. Well, I have hoped it's not drug and alcohol problems again, but never heard any news related with those, so she is good to go I guess. :D

Welcome back, Belinda!!! :bounce:

Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth

I always thought that hell is a place on earth would be more appropriate but what the heck do I know.

Her last full album release spawned a few big hits, but then she released a god awful song about 'God's Children', I wanted to kill myself. But I liek her style. She also did the UK version of Hell's Kitchen

This album has been in the works for quite some time.
I first heard about the VOILA project about 2 years ago.

My understanding was that it was to be a selection of French classics...that showcase her often underated vocal talents. This direction may have changed...who knows...

And the Go-Go's are doing a mini tour. I'm seeing them June 30th in Chicago. :bounce:
