why can't anybody get a hold of the no.1 now? Too much power? (unwieldy power?)

I think it has to do with both the changed ranking system (don't ask) and the fact that there are so many injuries these days.

its too bad for chrissie that the official computer rankings came nto play so late, as she would have about 60 more weeks, more than a whole year's worth of weeks!!, added to her total. she comes up pretty darn close to navratilova with those.
