Thanks for posting this; it was interesting to read. I didn't realize the tournament had only been around since 1985. They've really built it up in 20 years to become a hugely important tournament.

It was interesting to see that Lindsay Davenport has never won the tournament (and has only made 1 final).

It was also interesting to see that Graf and Sabatini won the doubles title in 1988. Didn't they win Wimbledon that year? How many tournaments did they play together, and how many did they win?

Poor Jen! those pesky sisters didnt let her win on home soil!


In those first two finals she really should have won. well, the first final speaks for itself - 8 match points! one of which she thought shes won and started towards the net to shake hands lol.

The second she let the first set slip and was 5-3 in teh second before doing the same.:confused:
